+ Show Spoiler + Can't wait for the episode where yooyoung gets her ass handled to her in a DM and a game. She constantly makes immoral choices that have reflected the personality she gained through fighting with other newscasters. She cant be fully blamed for being completely immoral, newscasters face some seriously cruel competition amongst each other and it is already amazing she survived that. Just not the skills she picked up and used against others.

+ Show Spoiler + U must be joking -_-. Jiwon was totally arrogant when doohee confront him thats why he says 'drunk'. Hes a rich kid, relative of the president of korea, basically an upper class. He was basically laughing that doohee trusted him and feels that he can lie and joke it off coz hes a big shot celebrity who is more important.

+ Show Spoiler +
FUCK JIWON, FUCK THAT SCUMBAG. FUCK THE PRODUCERS THAT MADE BOTH THE MAIN MATCH AND THE DEATH MATCH 100% ALLIANCE/LUCK BASED. The only reason I am still watching this show is to see my man Jinho destroy the fuck out of Jiwon, make him payback all the tears he caused to Doohee.
/rant
Whp am I kidding? I would watch this show to very end regardless, but, seriously, nothing would make happier than seeing Jiwon burn to the ground. I can't wait for next week.
Thank you so Clefairy for the great job.

Thank you for the translation.
+ Show Spoiler +It wasn't pretty, but it wasn't as show breaking as I thought it would be reading from the spoilers. I think the entertainers live in a pretty cutthroat industry, so these kinds of actions for personal gain aren't all that uncommon. Unfortunately for the viewers, season 2 cast of entertainers don't have the presence of mind like Sunggyu to note which line is acceptable to cross. Sunggyu noted that he can't play the game like Sangmin from the very get-go due to his fans, but was still able to play it in such a way that's more devious than vicious. On the other hand, Junghyun also has self-restraint and called Jiwon to return the ID to Doohee. He also helped out the magician in episode 4. While the show is trying to portray him as a clueless man, I feel like he's one of the moral pillars of the show and is just resisting from being swept up in the betrayal theme of this season.
As for Boxer... lol. At this point, isn't it better to not have that guy on your team? He fed the lion in the first episode, he got the opposing team together in the straight game in episode 2, he wasted his teammates garnets for pointless switches in episode 3, he wasted his chips in episode 5 due to indecisiveness, and now he gave the bomb over to the entertainment alliance in episode 6. I think the joke with losing his own ID while finding Doohee's was a perfect reflection of his role up to this point.
Edit: Oh yeah, he also fed the Token of immortality to sangmin.

+ Show Spoiler +Somehow I imagined if Doohee picked Jiwon, he will be okay with it because there is a sense of guilt. Maybe I was wrong about Jiwon . . .
But Yooyoung got picked, she felt resentful. Maybe I was wrong about this too? Maybe I was reading too much into her expression. Also, after DooHee gave explanation , she said "I expected this" I felt it is similar to how HongChul said in episode 1.
Maybe need other ppl to watch her reaction too to confirm.
Ah maybe I still cant get over the Eunkyul betrayer keke. U noe I felt heartwarming when Yellow start to show resent over Yooyoung because she is avoiding or cold treatment him in episode 5.

Could we stop using spoilers now that the sub is released? Why do I have to open every spoiler to follow the discussion...

Would be interesting if the PD release that full footage. Under standard practice, the film would be cut after the cap fully covers the face.

god damn this episode was heartbreaking, effin broadcast alliance ruining all the fun

Yeah I think I'm done with using spoilers atm. No hong chul and boxer have definitely been the most disappointing members that are left, also i expected lee da hae, im yoon sun, and nam whee jong to do better, but tbh this season's casting was a flop everyone seems to be under performing compared to last season except maybe yoo young who has definitely showed she is good at making teams, leading the team, and pretty good and smart at deathmatches despite her not making too much logical sense when she talks like eunkyul not being the reason why they won in the king game and stealing shit. Also yoo jung hyun is pretty much the darkhorse, hes been doing well, his got his own character and style of game play (or lack there of), and hes actually the one entertaining member to watch throught season 2 because he seems so dumbfounded half the time but manages to pretty well in the main game while also not being a threat enough or creating enemies to be picked for a deathmatch.
Anyone else felt like it was a concidence that two arguably the smartest members cast for each season 1 and 2 got knocked out in the first episode, Lee Jong Suk from season 1 and Nam Whee Jong from season 2? Also don't forget that jinho did betray jong suk in s1ep1, I thought they could've really been a strong duo in the first season.

I tink based on occupation, people will expect those 3 people to go far. But I tink Genius game, even if it lived up to its name, cannot be judge just by education or occupation.
By the way, I think this episode, 6. BoxeR didnt do so badly, he made a good deal with Sangmin & Jiwon respectively. .right?
If both of them accept BoxeR deal, then he will be winner of this episode, and have a share of the Immortal Token. He is so close in winning, without any alliance. Play lone wolf.
It is just pity, pity... Pity of Inner Alliance. If every1 is stranger relationship, I tink this episode shining star is BoxeR. And DooHee wont be such a bad shape.

I don't think Hongchul is that disappointing though. He's still charismatic as f*ck, and he knows how to choose the best team for him to survive. He's a lot like Kyungran in season 1, only difference is that Kyungran was more likeable and a little bit smarter in team games. When it comes to individual performances though, we don't know yet.
As for Boxer, his performances thus far were indeed disappointing, but I still have some hope that The Emperor can show everybody how to make a miracle later on. Maybe it's just wishful thinking though

I just got out of school and rewatched the episode again to fully appreciate the amount of cold hearted poison went into this episode.
Wooo this episode. How should anyone even start? The entire second season seems fundamentally different in both tone and character from the first season, and this episode only serves to illustrate how pronounced that difference is. Christ. No one from season one, Sunggyu, Gura, Poong, Eunji, etc. etc. would have ever done what Jiwon and Yooyoung did in this episode. The most direct comparison from Season 1 would be + Show Spoiler +Sangmin taking Jinho's garnet and giving it to Minseo but that's not even comparable to how this episode played out. There was absolutely nothing Doohee could've done any better in that episode. He played as well as anyone could have in the deathmatch and was eliminated- not because the other players viewed him as a threat- but because his leaving would break up Yohwan and Jinho.
It's not show breaking, but it's certainly enough to make me question the sanity of the producers. They should have stepped in and either forced the players to give back Doohee's ID card, or given Doohee a new card to play; in absolutely no way is it necessary to have one of your players be forced out because of jerkass moves by rivals.
It really makes me agree with sentiments that were expressed earlier about how Season 1 was more about a competition between friends and peers rather than a nonviolent reenactment of Battle Royale or Hunger Games. I mean if you look at season 2 there's no friendliness at all between the competitors (except for the Progamer/Programmer group and Junghyun). You don't have things like the Changyeop+Jungmoon "love line", the Poong and Jinho bromance, Sunggyu talking about LimJinRok, Jinho joking about his membership in the Gura fanclub, etc. etc. Even Gura (Who seemed like the coldest guy there) had a sense of honor and dignity, and had some legitimate connections between the cast. The closest thing you have is Junghyun talking about his son, and Jinho bashing Yohwan for his complete idiocy in the main matches. Arghhhhhhh.
Is it too much to ask for the feeling of the first season combined with a new cast?

Omg u missed one of the best relationships between members from season 1 if not the best...Sangmin and Sunggyu music sunbae/hoobae relationship. That combo was the shit because not only were they both so well matched and funny but shit like sangmin getting on his knees and begging sungyyu to help him and like demanding garnets for help/favors that combo was the bomb and u wont 2 ppl mesh so well like that in a korean variety/game show.

Oh my, I just watched s2 episode 5.
+ Show Spoiler +Yoonsun really underestimated the Emperor. While he is not so good at plotting, betraying and the group stuff, you don't want to go 1on1 against the Emperor. I'm glad she's out.
