After watching ep 6 again with subs I am even more mad at boxer. His actions are stupid and his arguments are way worse than I thought.

Watching episode 6 left a bitter taste in my mouth, i hope the games are better designed in future to prevent such behaviour.... the way sangmin and jiwon act is starting to bug me, I really hope one of them gets thrown in a deathmatch and eliminated

Now I really understand why people are so mad about this episode. The betrayals just hurt too much. Doohee was just a pawn in a plan to break that alliance. It really was disgusting

Another thing is how Sangmin found the token of immortality. Seriously I hate to say this but Boxer was so dumb to tell Sangmin where the safe was. He should have expected that to happen. Now that Doohee is gone the probability of Sangmin using it to force a Lim Jin Rok is very high

Overall a very depressing episode. After watching this, I sincerely wish Yellow and Boxer would kill Jiwon and Yooyoung in the next episodes. The Genius is a competition, but it's also the place where people make friends and have fun playing the games. To do something like stealing and then come up with some bullsh*t excuses is unacceptable.

Reading the spoilers previously, I was prepared to feel mad at Jiwon/Yooyoung, but it surprised me how badly the producers came out, knowing what they censored and, through that, seeing how they edited the whole second half to minimize the impact of the ID-card stealing. While the reason behind is obvious and logical, that doesn't prevent it from being a scummy move.

Sadly in this case, the PD actually did a great job designing the game. Turns out the players are not allowed to take the cards which means by right its very hard to collude. Teams have no way of 100% knowing their teammates cards. Its well designed to be a game of trickery. Sadly the broadcaster alliance is too strong.

By episode 6 you're looking at 5 firm broadcasters (ppl who see ea other frequently in production etc) against 3 outsiders. Season 1 by episode 6 you have only 4 firm broadcasters (sangmin, gura, kyungran and eunji) against 4 outsiders (sunkyu is quasi outsiders since he comes in contact with television often but is not employed by studio). And now the balance is 5-2 in season2 while its 4-3 in season1.

It truly looks more and more likely episode 7 will be boxer v yellow T_T. This matchup should always be Ro4 or higher.

Still, I think doohee is to be partially to be blamed. He wanted to suck up to the celebrities too much. He really wants to belong with the in group. That explains why he acted the way he did in episode 5 which left me wondering at that time. Reality is, celebrities/upper class love the masses only for the profits it brings. As an equal? Hell no, they're patricians appalled by notions of equality. Sad but true fact of human history.
