I love the point cutoffs the most, as they will obviously be the least random factor, not depending on only 1 player performance. | ||

I read in the Aligulac rating for each player, and then use those ratings to determine win rates. | ||

In any case, I just want to say: Thanks Die4Ever! I think this is awesome and is what was lacking before in all these Blizzcon finals chances threads. I think that going forward, it'll probably be good to not only have a WCS points ranking the way we do now, but also add a feature (at least towards the end of the season when we have a sense of what tournaments remain) which shows which players have locked a spot in the finals vs. not having locked a spot. It can be thought of in a similar vein as pro teams qualifying for the playoffs (i.e. NBA/NFL) or tennis players qualifying for the EOY masters tournament. I agree with the posters who've said that we shouldn't put too much weight on some of the probabilities here especially on the lower end in terms of qualifying chances because of the random nature of competitive gaming. However, I do think it's useful to know which players are a lock and which spots are still reasonably up for grabs. | ||

I think I just didn't fully understand your question lol. So it actually runs through and says ok Flash vs Kangho, Flash won this time so now Flash vs Parting. And it runs through every tournament in that fasion giving out WCS points depending on how far the players make it. And it does this randomly 300,000 times. | ||
