This is yet unconfirmed, but players know the groups before they get official.. Also taeja said he wont play challenger :/ I understand taejas side, but this makes it too unfair for naniwa

It was my understanding that Taeja only forfeited the challenger matches after he was eliminated from WCS and not the group stages.

hm, the tweet could mean both, you are right..
but i would wonder (still i hope a lot!) if taeja would play.. i would guess he does not want to show any of his playstyle till blizzcon..

Hard to say if any of the other players will try their hardest in this group, rumor seems to say that it has no effect on anyone except Revival and aLive.

I hate to be the "Debbie Downer" of the moment, but even if Revival messes up today or if Naniwa does beat him in the tie breaker he's going to have to go against the No.1 ranked player, Soulkey. Okay, so at least it's not a Protoss but if he falls at the first round it's going to be the single most underwhelming moment of the year after all the hype that's been built around it.

well, and if not and he somehow whyever beats soulkey he will become so overhyped for a few hours and people will forget he will be a huge underdog in the next match too :D still rooting for him, a lot

So... Revival got out of his challenger group in 2nd place.

I apologize if my question has already been answered, but do both Naniwa and Revival get an all-expense paid trip by Blizzard to Blizzcon to play for that coveted 16th spot in a showmatch? Seems really underwhelming if Naniwa just loses 3-0 and all this hype and speculation were for naught.

Just seems like too good of a deal to be true; but then again, what's $4K to Blizzard if they can add a little bit of hype?

I guess it doesn't explicitly say that on the tiebreaker page but I imagine it would be paid since they are paying for everyone else to go to Blizzcon. Like you said, it's not really that much money for them in the grand scheme of things.
