I have a "Learn Korean" app on my phone, and I have been using it to actively practice reading Hangul at a fast pace by going through and getting combinations of different consonants and vowels. Today, I had 비수, which is Bi-su, and I got realllllly sad. GLHF Bisu!

Maybe he'll be back in 2 years, by then LotV could introduce some play that really focuses on harassment and quickness. He could have switched races, dunno if he tried but in a game like SC the race it's a big factor and changes the gameplay. I went from P to Z and landed on T, can't tell if i was still playing the game having stayed with a race i don't enjoy.

If Fantasy was going to retire maybe SKT would have bought Jjakji instead of letting him go to mYi. There are no rumors about him afaik, he is potentially a great player and he's still pretty young, and since he's the only terran for SKT he can probably leverage that into a decent salary, so I don't see why he would retire. (outside of personal issues/disliking the game) Bisu had more reasons to retire.

What if I told you they retired for other reasons they don't want to talk about? What if I told you...... it wasn't always about SC2?

BW had some magic. Yeah, but that also could be summed up with "Make me 17 again". Things change and some people just don't want to learn a new game and maybe want to try something else.

Finally something that makes sense...people are allowed to dislike a game and not demand for it do be modified to their specification and when having played another one for an unspeakable amount of hours it makes sense to be biased and struggle to adapt. A couple of players retiring doesn't mean every BW pro thinks SC2 is bad, check the difference between active and retired player... Every bloody thread turns into a collective moaning about balance and how BW was better, play BW and follow their still active scene then, easy.

If Bisu didn't want to learn a new game, he wouldn't have stuck around for such a long period of time.

I wouldn't know for sure but that definitely seems to be the case. Oh well, iconic players will be remembered, esp. one of Bisu's caliber regarding Brood War.
