And to be honest I use my hands way to much to play go and my right hand for an other purpose which I won't get into details^^ Also I have to say I really wish Feast don't give up because I always considered him a rival (even though I was much weaker) and each times he did some good results, I had raises in motivation^^ Hahahaha! Nice to hear recovery in your right arm...

SC2 is just not as worth to play for foreigners as it used to be.

Anyways, I was rooting for him in sc2 and he started showing really nice play. Then all of a sudden, right after that, he started playing terribly. It didn't make sense, but I figured that roller coaster would lead to a retirement from him. Still, I hope he comes back!

Nobody needs a million pro gamers, especially not the pro gaming community. It would be beautiful if eSports could sustain such a massive amount of players, but especially when it's still just on the rise, we had too many players. Now the ones who couldn't hack it should start to fade or move direction. IdrA to becoming a personality (finally), same for IncontroL (pretty much?), HuK is starting to play decent again, but no promises there. Feast unfortunately couldn't find passion in it. Don't blame it on SC2 not being worth it. Everyone should have known that since the beginning. Anyone blinded by money was making a god awful mistake. Playing is about passion, and we are using that passion to build careers. Just by playing the game a lot has little to do with a career being built. Playing games professionally and casually is totally different. These cases are not uncommon, so we simply wish them the best and say goodbye.

Not sure if we need less than that. 2) I dont think many people played SC2 for a career and are now missing the big money. I would rather say that they have passion and love for the game but if you just cant live off it you have to quit sooner or later no matter how big the passion is. Since Koreans are farming the prize money at any big tournament foreigners just cant support themselves anymore.

Looking through liquipedia it seems that Thorzain and Feast are on indefinite hiatus (and judging by their sentiments I wouldn’t expect to see too much of them). Stephano, Theognis, Xlord, Idra, and Pokebunny are all the notable retirees in the last six months who were involved in WoL. I also noticed Fuzer and Siw as retirees from the HotS era (not sure anyone’s mentioned Siw yet, that was news to me).

By reading the article, I believe motivation was less an issue then work ethic. Being able to train each time for numerous hours and making these hours counts isn't easy when you are just out of highschool. Maturity is a tough lesson to learn.
