There are no storylines (someone getting an all-kill isn't a story, that is just a feat of strength), there is no reason to root for a team when they can rely on a single player to net them games, they don't use their top-tier casters which results in weaker numbers than Code S, and the prize pool has always been laughably small. They'd be better off running tier1/2 WCS events than GSTL, it would probably net them better numbers and they can get big name players competing (Flash, Inno, Bomber, Rain, Soulkey, Sos) on a consistent basis. While I do agree SPL is definitely superior and it may be time to retire or reform GSTL, I wouldn't say there are no storylines. GSTL has brought forth many memorable nights. I prefer Preleague format as it's nice knowing who's playing in advance to build up the hype, but that is not to say all-kill format does not have its perks too. Those unexpected all-kills, ace match wins from a less-established player, and not knowing who will come out next is always fun. I think this past season of GSTL was a bad example of the format, as there were an unusually high number of all-kills and one-sided matches (probably because some teams/players are ahead of the curve in adapting to HotS within eSF).

The only teams I'd say that reasonably could have equal or greater depth than those two would be, Woongjin, STX, and SKT. Not to mention, that unlike EG-TL, they don't really go to a lot of foreign events, nor do they really have stream requirements (IM almost never streams at least, I see a few from MVP from time to time).

Six also have LoL teams, three do not. If we assume this is official indication of anything, it may indicate. A. LG-IM and MVP joined KeSPA (because they have two LoL teams each) and will join SPL. B. Samsung, STX, and Woongjin will be getting LoL teams soon and this is about LoL Proleague. C. Both A and B. If they specifically say "KeSPA teams" for LoL, the LG-IM and MVP leads might be false. LG-IM and MVP leaving eSF seems unlikely.

Haha, proleague would be great, if it was run by gom. But that won´t happen. I just hope this doesn´t mean SC2 gets more fragmented.
