Question : can't IM and MVP play both Proleague and GSTL ? It's not like they are owned by Kespa and they can just pay 100k deposit for PL if they want to play in it . Of course it could have a problem with sheduled matches and also , they'll have their players more occupied , but with more purpose behind their training their players will become eventually stronger .

IM could probably play two different rosters entirely

No team is going to commit to Proleague and then divide their attention between it and another team league.

LG-IM is a juicy team for Kespa to include in the ProLeague.
Its like saying. You won GSTL, now join the BIG boys.
I think if Kespa would make it possible for a relegation system working in the PL we could have - Proleague (Premiership), GSTL (1st division). With last place in PL dropping down to GSTL and GSTL winner advancing to PL.
Would be sick.... But 0% chances of this ever happening. One can only dream.

There was a time when KTF literally bought all the top players for their team. They set the record for the longest number of consecutive wins in PL (22-0 i think?) and they still lost the final to SKT haha.
Team 8 upon creation were expected to be huge. It was the union of three teams (MBC, Hwaesung and WeMade) and it was expected that all the aces would carry over into this new team and crush everything, or at least do well. Evidently, not the case.
EGTL same story. Expected to be huge because of all the big names on the team, ended up disappointing.

As many people already said: you cannot half-ass proleague. it's serious business and you have to commit fully to get anywhere!

Obviously GOMtv wouldn't like themselves being the lower league but still, would be fun

Makes sense... It's kinda 90% confirmed no EGTL next season in SPL, or why would they get rid of their coach or "let him go". Money isn't an option for the two power houses that are TL and EG, so it clearly was just a one off adventure. With the more likely news that Jaedong won't be renewing his contract and going back to Team8 later this year, they will just be left with their regular members. KESPA looking good for once now Team8 has a sponsorship deal just leaves STX as the only team in trouble financially? The rest seem safe. Add into that 2 new teams LGIM and MVP and you have a great SPL.

GomTV would not want to be treated as second-class product.
Right now if a PL is going to happen next season LG-IM and MVP to the PL is the only move that makes logical sense..Having a 7 team PL is setting up for disappointment.

this wouldnt be fair, LGIM would win everything

Team 8 was popularly referred to as the "Dream Team" for at least a couple of months.
They had JD, Sea, Killer and Baby.

Oh snap that'd be awesome! I assume they'd be combined into one team so that theres still 8?

They would do well. Hope this is true!
