Awesome news! D-Link is a pretty huge sponsor. Next up -- Netgear -- then Verizon and AT&T.

Nice league! So how does coL academy knock coL main roster out and take their spot or will this be exclusively invite only for its entirety(s2, s3 etc..)?

Awesome, but I have two questions :

competing in the traditional ProLeague format (best of 7 rounds, one map per round)

So, we will have 6 fixed matches Bo1 and then an Ace Match which two chosen players play. Atleast that's what I think you mean with ProLeague format.

But on the schedule on the website (http://www.sc2l.gg/Schedule/) there are only given 5 fixed matches. Is that the format now or is the site still a bit buggy?

Also will the games be casted from replays like the MCSL or will it be played live like ATC (and D2L)?

By the way, if it's confirmed that they use the Proleague format, I don't know how Axiom can align 6 players when they have only 4.

If you look at the schedule site, there are players scheduled to play multiple maps per match.

Looks good

No Korean teams but I guess we see them so much in GSTL/Pro league.

Damn, no TB in the caster line-up... You and him were the best casting duo of MLG Dallas.

Oh, indeed. Only 5/6 maps though.

Bring garlic, crosses and stakes. Thy vampire slaying will be rewarded, fine lad.

That's pretty cool! Too bad that the first two weeks isn't really watchable in Europe but I'll definitely tune in for the later weeks.

I guess some of the games will be casted off of replays because EU teams probably wont do a clanwar at 3am in the morning?

Regardless I'm looking forward to it, might be a bit hard to catch live though

Awesome announcement! Really cool to see these casters as a line-up really often, too. Hopefully we can see the lesser-knowns on the teams get their spotlight.

Totally cheering for Axiom. Wooh!

Live or replay? Didn't see anything on that.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

I hope the time slot does well, seems late for NA and early for EU.

They haven't had that for two seasons, so I'm suppose you are out.

I like this concept "buy a router, increase the prizepool". I think Totalbiscuit did something similar in his tournaments when viewers were able to tip the players they were rooting for or who they thought played well and therefore increased the overall prizemoney that a single player could make. Both ideas are interactive and makes you feel youre part of the tournament aswell.
Also, great caster lineup. I think its hard to establish a new "best" teamleague but who knows. I'll be watching
