On the other hand losing both idra and stephano leaves me with almost no foreign zergs to cheer for Well, to be honest, the ONLY foreigners to have succeeded in SC2 were Zerg and a few Protoss. Stuff need to settle to normal, as HOTS have shown, it is balanced.

He's going to be a doctor right? He should be a surgeon if that's true, he'd be so gosu at that

still hope to see some casual show matches sometimes

It's a good move in the long-term, eSports is not a stable long-term career, he needs to put his own future first.

It didn't take long to figure out that it isn't lucrative staying in SC2 for years upon years, no matter how well you do. This is not a recent realization

Well, looks like EG is going downhill quickly...

Just kidding, but I'm feeling simultaneously happy and sad. Happy that he's moving on to the rest of his life on his own terms, sad that I'll never get to see him and foreigner hopes get crushed once again.
Give us one more Polt vs Stephano for the road. EG should sponsor a Bo9 Stephano vs Polt showmatch as his last series played. :')
THIS
OMG Please make it happend

better possibly too early than too late (idra)

Saddest day of my life. I'm depressed now. You could feel he is unhappy and will quit soon, but 3 months DAMN, too fast Also he said not so long time ago on stream or interview, that he MIGHT go to korea again, which gave hope of him sticking for a bit longer, but now this.
Jesus :< Anyway thank you IIyes for bringing so much to SC2. You won't ever be forgotten, took the competitive scene by storm, your roach max 12min is most studied strategy in the community, which shows how brilliant you are, sickest micro and macro you could imagine... Best foreign player ever, and top 10 world player. Add to that colorful and awesome personality, and there you go, legend of Starcraft 2. I won't ever understand how someone can be that good, not only gameplay wise, but intelligence, map awarness.
When i feel sad after bad day i will just watch drunk Stephano interview to cheer up, it's always heartwarming. You will be remembered forever, thank you again for everything you have done. It was really sad to see how you lose the love and will to keep playing SC2.
Stephano, i wish you very best until the end of your life, hope you find hapiness in whatever you decide to do, and let the Cujo be the remain of your SC legacy, bringing all that memories whenever you look at him.
Damn i'm crying, it's just sad... Love you IIyes
Maybe one day, we will hear about you again.

Better quit while you're on top. I'd say good for him and good luck in the future.
|
Sad, great player. I hope he still remains active within the community. Perhaps in the french scene?
|
University is free in france.. his life is only getting started

What a baws; tears up SC2 for two years being one of the most influential Zergs in the game, makes 200 000+ dollars, becomes the idol of Jaedong, and then retires to pursue academic interests. A short, but epic, career in E-sports.
|
So is he dropping out of WCS then?
|
he going to be a doctor, how u guys think this is less money than play starcraft?
|
Stephano, thank you for all the great memories. You've done great by my standards. gl hf in the future and hope you to see you from time to time.

Hmmm okay It´s not such a big deal To my American friends: If I would call Idra Allen Iverson who would be Stephano?
|
I really think he is incredibly entertaining. He will be missed!! Good luck in everything you'll do Stephano, and please keep speaking english and keep your french accent, it's so hilarious!

I think WCS is properly one of his last few remaining tournaments
