Still bummed about it though, I'm gonna miss his personality on the E-Sports scene.

Well, if anything, it was a great run and he leaves with a great deal of success and money. Best of luck to him with his studies and everything.

On the other hand losing both idra and stephano leaves me with almost no foreign zergs to cheer for As a Terran player, I have always had hundreds of excellent, championship contending foreign Terran players to root for, so I have absolutely no idea how you could possibly feel.

The way I see it, this is him going back to finish his degree and make sure that he has a lucrative career-path outside of the fickle world of e-sports to fall back on, kind of how some top-tier pro athletes finish college and get degrees in case their professional sports careers don't work out. I predict that we'll be seeing quite a bit more of Stephano before too long.

And delaying your studies and practice lowers your earnings for years to come, unless you delayed them for something relevant to your profession (SC2 is not). Not even talking about the fact that studying gets harder with age. All in all, smart decision.
