I must say after that kind of behavior regardless of his comments in the EG thread I would have released him. 200/200 with 3k/3k bank, with a foothold on the 6 o clock base on Daybreak on Ultra/Infestor/Broodlord, and he ragequits because he can't handle being harassed? When you take a collective look at everything this guy brings to Starcraft I hope he dissapears and never returns; he is an embarassment to this scene. He is definately our fallen angel. | ||

I really appreciated IdrA because few players in the game have such a personality that can draw attention. In a way, his BM attitude was entertaining and made it quite fun to watch him play... Up to a certain point. I didn't know about IdrA's latest "feat". And it is true it is unacceptable. You just can't brag everywhere about being paid to insult your fans and playing only for the money, especially if you're in a major team such as EG. Many people here argue that he's been BM even when he played Brood War, so they don't seem to understand why he was fired. But keep in mind that: 1) As someone told me once, old vices do not become virtues. So because he's been BM for a long time doesn't excuse everything. 2) As mentioned by Alex, there's a huge difference between being bad manner and trolling your opponents/teammates and being disrespectful to the whole community thanks to whom you earn that much money. I'm a bit disappointed to see Greg leave since he was one of EG's symbols, but this could be expected and he was starting to become toxic to the team's image, especially given the fact that Blizzard decided to "professionalize" the game, by standardizing the WCS system. So this probably was a wise decision from EG. | ||

Uh, foothold on the 6 oclock base? Guess you're the victim of bad observing -- the only player who had a foothold on 6 oclock when IdrA left the game was Polt. The minimap is your friend. He had no chance to win that game, even if he expended his 200 supply army and remaxed with 3k/3k. Zero. Zilch. Nada. | ||
