It's nice to see them continually getting sponsors. They seem to have a real handle on the marketing bit for their team. Outside of KespA, they seem to be one of the ESF teams that really knows how to market themselves and get a sustainable model going. Hopefully the other teams can take notice. They definitely have enough star power to do so, and it isn't like LG-IM is more marketable (except for their PR guy on facebook) than the other teams, except maybe MC who has the right personality for it.
Also: Interesting note. You can ALMOST build an entire computer off of LG-IM's sponsors! Nvidia, Asrock, Super Flower, Steelseries, LG, Intel. We just need Intel to sponsor them (I'm behind the curve apparently, already done!), and then throw in a case/hard drive(Kingston makes SSDs!) manufacturer and they're good to go! XD

Well I hope they're living comfortably at this point. Asking playing to chip in 50-100 bucks on some months sounds like some stressful times (I understand this may not have happened for a year or whatever, but still)

I see no mention of the fact that this is only a hardware sponsor by anyone in this thread everyone just seems to be talking about more money for IM. Someone tell me if im wrong, but doesnt hardware sponsor entail only giving hardware and not cash. If so its a bit of a bullshit sandwich to be honest, well sort of its basically a really cheap way to sponsor a team , i mean i fully support kingstons involvement in esports, but in all fairness im sure IM's computers ran HOTS just fine before this sponsorship and they will probably receive very little benefit beyond quicker boot up times from the SSD and better multitasking from the Ram , although i guess it could help with streaming, im sure their computers where well enough equipped before this sponsorship though. Also its not like the hardware is going to have any correlation with them getting better results in tournaments its not like a keyboard or mouse sponsor where they actually use your product in tournaments, its just for their practice computers so they wont see any "benefit" from kingston products in tournaments anyways.
Unless their computers where really bad that benefit seems pretty negligible even for their practice computers and most of the benefit they would receive would have very little to do with actually playing the game and more to do with making the computer faster for other activities on the computer , especially considering how many players play on the lowest possible settings.
I totally get why teams accept hardware sponsorships i mean free stuff for a small logo on a t-shirt, hell yea there is no reason to say no really and it basically costs the sponsor nothing, i mean its basically just 1 shipment of ssd's and ram maybe once a year or so.
anyways if someone could clarify the meaning of hardware sponsorship to mean something more than just sending a box with some of the company's products in it let me know.
Edit: I guess they could sell the hardware though for some cash, especially if they are getting the really expensive ssd's lol.

I don't exactly follow the sponsorship scene, but I've never heard of hardware sponsors not giving money to the team. They also had the money to buy first and squirtle in the last month or two? So they can't be that poor.

First has been with IM for a long time (March of last year). But you are right, LG-IM doesn't seem to have any financial troubles.
I always thought since they decided to put LG in their team name other potential sponsors would be discouraged to sponsor them. But I guess success is the only measure.
Can't wait to see IM & EG join up to produce commercials with koreans v. foreigner themes loll

Really? I've heard a lot of teams before only had razer as a hardware sponsor and never received money from them. I think hardware only sponsorships are pretty common in the scene.
I've seen that Kingston HyperX logo for a while now, only now its been an official announcement? It's weird that I always see the shirt patches a while before an official statement pops up.
Also, Intel logo is on their shoulders but I have never heard of a player thanking Intel during their closing interview statements as well as the intel logo not being on their website.
P.S. They also need to get better hosting. It's down by the time I tried checking their website out.

Oh, well like I said, I don't know much of anything about it, so I won't argue with that

They should do away with sponsors on shirt and instead wear capes with all their sponsors listed
I think we can all agree that Capes are amazing as per Lando Calrissian. You don't need to have superpowers to wear a cape, you just need to be worthy of all that investment.
Loving more investment in SC2 even if this isn't my favourite team. GO GO SC2 things are looking up!
Also the reason why Prime doesnt get any major sponsorships is because they are terrible at marketing themselves. Their facebook hasnt been updated in months and PrimeTv sucks.
Im more interested in where MVP gets all their money from. They can somehow afford one SC2 team and two LoL teams. I assumed they got most of the money from Hot6 but apparently they only get energy drinks from them.
Good! I still don't get how kespa teams make so much money while having no personalities, make no effort to communicate with fans, and (until recently) have been vastly under-represented at major events. Personally I think everyone would be better off giving Life all their money, and then once he literally can't move fast enough under all the logos and badges, that's when you sponsor other teams
this is so sick. theyre set now. i was kinda worried for esf teams since kespa switched to sc2 and there were alot of teams dying like TSL and zenex etc. but IM are essentially the EG version of korea now. and im very happy for them! keep up the good work
Yup, that's what I meant with the 'semi recent talk about LG not being satisfied' which is why I was worried that LG might pull sponsorship leaving IM dry.
