For the sake of this thread, can't you just PM him that stuff? They are way more likely to read it that way, too. Just a thought =/

Chanman has been featured before on the sidebar. this whole thing seems to be last minute and not much notice given to viewers or tl.net. maybe chanman just didnt bother to notify tl.net of his show. he didnt even give us the url link in the op.

I must have missed that you were some leading proponent for that issue. Probably went unnoticed by me in between your profanities, racial slurs and all the drama you were involved in over the years. What I meant is the "SC2 is dying" thing you stirred up. You riled up a part of this community, frightened them, and shortly after left for LoL, which in my eyes made it insincere right from the start and made it look like all you wanted to accomplish is to take as much of your viewership as possible with you. The "SC2 is dying" nonsense plagued this community for a long while after you left, and I think at least partially was a cause for dropping viewer numbers (as in: self-fulfilling prophecy), which is what I meant with bad things you did for our community - you poisoned the climate. This is of course all my interpretation, other people's opinion may differ, and I'm just writing this because of your ad hominem attack, which I found rather unwarranted. Apologies @Chanman, I didn't want to derail this thread any further, but I couldn't leave this reply unanswered. Destiny, it might suit you well to become more level-headed and take stuff not as personal. Maybe then people would take you as serious as you seem to demand from the community. Oh btw, I'm ~6 years older than you, you were a little off with your grade school remark. The problem with your argumentation; 1) You provide no evidence that Destiny caused viewerships to decline further. 2) Instead, you basically just assume that because he made a critical post then people will stop watching the game. 3) One could actually have argued that increased drama creates increased attention/focus on Sc2 which could help deaccelerate the decline. IMO that theory is at least as valid as players being "afraid" to play Sc2 because its dying. 3) You could at leats have attempted to analyze whether the decline in viewerships further accelerated after the post. 4) Instead, you end up shitting on Destiny because he was "kinda" right on his prediction. Given that approach there is no way Destiny can ever be right. 5) I believe you are not in a position to evaluate Destinys argumentation biasless, and instead just hate on him due to his personality (why else would you mention racial slurs and drama history - that is totally irrelevant in this discussion).

What do you mean have to remember? The entire point of Destinys article was that Sc2 was losing viewers to for instance LOL. Destiny tried to come up with a few solutions in order to grow sc2 viewerships. But obiviously the esports market size wasn't shrinking. I remember DJ What used that argument at ITG, which kinda demonstrated that he really had no idea what Destiny was talking about.

Anyway, dunno if Chanman has had his stream up there before or not, but when I was trying to find it via TL, it was nowhere to be found. Had to google chanmanv and head to his stream that way. He should have linked his stream in OP!!!

People want to defend him. But IMO he said what he said and has done what he has done, and this is the result. It's not like people formed these opinions of him from hearsay. His actions, his consequences. And I have seen his chat. What is easily moderated in other chats, is free to roam on his...racism especially.

How can you be poisoning something just by OBJECTIVELY pointing something out. Doesn't make sense. PS: How can you call him out for taking things personally when LITERALLY the last line in your post is a personal attack on him, what the hell?

It's exactly like he said yesterday on stream - perception is reality, if people think, or that's how understood what he said ie "SC2 is dying", that's what he has said. It doesn't matter what he thought or what he wanted to say or how he wanted that to sound, it's just simply what he said. Nothing to be done about that now, just learn lesson from this and move on, and he knows that

You'll see the graphics and info come together soon. I just added the link to my stream in the OP.
