Why can't Korean just stay with their ID...
I don't understand why they don't have the same bond to an ID that most westerner have.
I mean, I personally never changed my ID. That ID is just who I am on the Internet since 15 years.

Well, Koreans are much closer to real sportsmen than Western progamers, who are still, for all intents and purposes, nerds on the Internet. Koreans identify players by their real life name, and IDs are just merely to distinguish one guy from another in the game UI and on the ladder. They're not really attached to it I guess.
Speaking of ladder, everybody is a barcode account in Korea, so they effectively never use/are called by their IDs in their day to day life.
Losira actually switched to his real name, it probably makes more sense to him. Many Korean progamers have their names as IDs in fact:
Jaedong, MC, JYP, Suho(shin), Hyun, YongHwa, etc..etc...
I actually wouldn't mind if all their IDs were just their real names :D

He plays a lot of dota and does a bit of coaching from time to time
