Oh look yet another korean whose sole justification for his win is : " I work harder I deserve to win. "

Right now I'm more annoyed than disappointed in TL-EG. More specifically the eventual "bler bler bler first season in proleague bler bler bler high hopes and expectations for next time bler bler bler" same speech every foreigner has given about their bad performance for the last two years.

And at Jaedong. This is really only sort of the place because the interview mentions him. I wish he'd just retired instead of selling out to the foreign market while he could. He used to hold himself as wanting more than anything to be an example for younger generations of gamers. Is this what they're supposed to follow? The tyrant is dead.

I hope they buckle down and start practicing correctly and functioning as a team in preparation for their matches, rather than the seemingly group of individuals acting individually under the same banner. It's disheartening to watch.

I beleve in Jaedong!
I really feel though that being with a foraign Team (even though EG IS by far my favorite Team ever) dosn´t do him well.
I wish he stayed with team8 or joined any other Kespa team but i´m SURE even that can not stop him from rising to his old glory!

eventually at least...

Jaedong i beleve!

They gave up for WOL, now we can still hope they will be ready for HOTS and be as good as they were in the two first rounds.

Well, I still don't want to give up on EG-TL.

It's hard, but they are not totally destroyed each time. I want to believe...

Well, it is a really good justification tbh and it beats the other, tacit version:
"Look at me! I don't practice and I suck but I can do stupid promotion videos. Give me free money and sponsorship plz!"
"To all eSports fans, I want to be remembered as a progamer who can make something out of nothing, and someone who always does his best. I think that is the right way of living, and I'm always doing my best to follow that." - Jaedong. /watch?v=jfghAzJqAp0

You guys seem to be especially strong against EG-TL.

I don't think EG-TL is really focusing on Proleague. I think the results are inevitable since we work harder.

Way to speak the truth, MyuNSiK. I wish EG-TL would win some games so that we fans had something more to cheer for.

Nothing better then watching KT get smacked in the face. But I am not a fan of EG at all. I only care because I want TL to be represented well.

Haha, Myungsik dishing out the hard truth, it probably won't change much but it's at least somewhat satisfactory that they continue to get teased about their awful performance and someone twists the knife once in a while.

First off, what do you mean by justification? You do not need to justify yourself if you win. You win because you actually won. You made your opponent GG, there's no justification to it other than you won. Maybe since your from France, it's a misunderstanding in connotations, but it sounds off.

Secondly off you're wrong. He said he got lucky in his match specifically then said KT (his team and not HIS win like you said, but THEIR win) worked harder. That's 2 reasons given.

Thirdly, Realistically, what other justification is there? Religion? I'm just better inherently? I got lucky? My opponent was bad? Which one would you rather hear?

Finally, the reason I'm harsh at people who say snide comments like you about this isn't b/c I'm some fanboy. I just like the idea of hardwork. I'm not a fan of inherent talent, I'm always a personal believer of genius being "1% talent and 99% perspiration." I like how people emphasize hard work.

Now the question is, why did EGTL joined PL if they're not focused on winning it?

I agree with you. It is ridiculous to even think about justifying one's win but he did it. The quote above proves at.

I wish players (particularly koreans) who stay away from the "I work harder, I deserve to win". That's a very negative way of thinking which only brings negative consequences like jealousy or envy when things don't go their way. Neither hard work nor talent matters. Choices and opportunities do however. And curiously that's the basis of SC2 : game decisions.

PS : You seem smart enough, so stop thinking hard work is better than talent. Both of them are mindless. Hard work is a quality shared by many while talent is shared by few.

Exposure and stage time for everyone. Think they got both, with Stephano being a popular term to be searched for in the internet after his first appearance.
I am glad that EGTL doesn't commit to PL full time, I was worried I wouldn't see them somewhere else.

Is that not the only justification for winning? Hard Work should always equal results, both in real life and in SC2.

I think its a fine way of thinking and most people who are remembered in their respective pursuits have this (or similar) mentality. You can have this mentality of hard work being all that is needed to get to your goal without being jealous at your first few/many failures. You can, you know, keep going.
