I find it weird that just by having registered my TW license on another Bnet account, I would still have what I paid for (2 accounts with global play, instead of what I have now, only 1). Which would have actually been against their "RealID" policy of one B.net account per IRL identity. So in a sense, I got stripped from one game key for actually binding my own name to my SC2 accounts. Smooth move Blizzard, smooth indeed. Edit: On another note, what the hell is the deal with those "MVP" posters on Blizzard's forums? Who the fuck are they? They sound really assholish. And I understand all the comments (from guys who only bought one license, obviously...) about us just buying multiple region access for the length of time where it was unavailable. Yet that's not at all what we bought. I bought a full WoL game, dammit. What bothers me is that if I had just made another Bnet account (which is free, and very fast), I would still have 2 SC2 games. What the hell is Blizzard supposed to answer to that argument? "Serves you right, retard."? Edit2: I submitted a "ticket" to the support service. Will let you know how it went. I'll put here my message if it worked :D Maybe if it fails as well, though that would be a shame ![]()

Discuss the matter on their forums doesn't mean making a huge thread titled "Dear SC2 Devs, etcetc". It's clearly an open letter to Blizzard, not a discussion thread.

Why does this matter so much to people? I bought the extra licenses to gain access to other servers, and that's just what I got back then, and that's just what I still have.

Situation now: I can log on to every server I paid for a license on - and also every other server in the world - with my e-mail address. I have one account on each server. An outrage!

An outrage! 2 cd-keys = 2 global play accounts, it is very simple. You have the option of being ok with things being taken from you, or products that you paid for simply disappearing. These are your choices, and no one is judging you. Please return the favor and don't judge us for the 'outrageous' demand of feeling 'entitled' to something we paid for ![]()

What's the problem? | ||

So it's okay for some people to pay for it, while others get it for free? It wasn't an exchange. We didn't give them our other accounts for global play. They gave global play to everyone, and removed any alternate accounts for no apparent reason.

Of course it's OK, we all paid for the extra licenses knowing what it would buy us and got exactly what we paid for. And with Global Play nothing has really changed for us, except for the fact that now we can logon to even more servers than before, which is great! If anything we should be happy for those who now get it for free, not act like children about it.

If anything we should be happy for those who now get it for free, not act like children about it. do you understand this has nothing to do with global play, but with some cd-keys working properly (multiple accounts), while others are disappearing? every other page this needs to be explained like to a 5y.o., so it's natural that we act like children LE: Also, let's not act like we're stealing from charity here. We wouldn't even have this discussion if the illustrious minds of Blizzard Inc. would have discovered the fantastic technology of Global Play back in 2009/10. We do have the discussion because they were greedy and forced basically every team + any one who had friends / wanted to play on another server to buy extra licenses. A lot of people took the bait, gave in and paid Blizzard for this marvelous service. Is it so insane to ask that those people don't get screwed over now and get to actually hold on to the cd-keys that they paid for? Is it such a tragedy for Blizzard? I don't understand.

If yes then I should be able to let Blizzard move 1 of my 2 licenses to another account (what seems to be possible in US but not EU). The strange thing is that Blizzard decided to grant global play to accounts, not to licenses.

Wouldn't you prefer having 3 full WoL game accounts with global play? That's what you would have if you had registered your 2 other licenses in separate B.net account. You don't see the difference? You don't see the point? Well, if I had 2 other accounts, I could, you know, maybe play with 2 of my friends who didn't buy the game, or have one account and ladder ranking per race. I don't think you really bought 3 SC2 versions if you don't get that. Edit: Oh man, people really don't understand what I'm saying do they. I'm not arguing that I've been robbed of something. Because that's wrong. If I previously had one EU and one TW licenses, I can still play on those 2, and even play on NA. Cool, right? NO, because, if I had clicked a dozen times and taken the 5 minutes necessary to create another Bnet account and registered my TW license there (which would have changed NOTHING at all for me in WoL previous setup), I would now have 2 full game accounts with global play, i.e. strictly better (and by a huge margin) than what I have right now. How could I foresee that Blizzard would make global play available, and merge game licenses on the same Bnet account?

People are pissed off because they no longer have separate accounts they paid for. For example, you could have a Terran ladder account, a protoss ladder account, and a zerg ladder account........ Or do whatever the hell you want with them because you bought 3 separate accounts/copies of the game. If you want to give them away or let a friend borrow them you should be able to. Not understanding buying an account wasnt simply about regional access makes me believe the majority of the people claiming people are complaining for not getting things for free are morons of the highest order. it isnt a difficult concept to grasp.

That would be completely childish and pointless. I'm happy that global play is available to everybody.
