Do you have an authenticator on your account?

Played with a Taiwanese fella and the lag was fucking terrible. Barely playable. Ah well.

Is the latency supposed to be this bad? On average around 250ms from east coast to Korea.

Depends on where you live and if you are lucky.
For instance I rarely get latency on korea (although it has been 6 months since I last played on there so it's possible it got worse, but I hope not).
It's really about luck, you could have an amazing internet connection but just be in that part of the world that has awful connection to korea.

Just installed EU client. Tried to login with my NA info but it only allows me to enter the "Starter Edition" of the game? I installed into a different directory and can still log into NA just fine, but EU asks me to upgrade to a full license? Did I do something wrong?

No idea if you did something wrong, but try using the much simpler and more convenient regions.xml and see if it works.

Just found this Blizzard post in the general discussion forum:
Global Play has not yet been released. What people are experiencing is the work that is being done behind-the-scenes in preparation for it's official launch. We’ll have more information about it soon.
Keep in mind that once it is released, you'll be able to switch regions on the login screen and will NOT have to download multiple StarCraft II clients.
Feel free to refer to our Global Play blog and the FAQ.
The part about "will not have to download multiple SC2 clients" is interesting. Are we sure that we have to download multiple clients in Wings?

Just reread it a couple of times if that's unclear.

Just passing on the information... I'm to big of a chicken to make declarative statements regarding the matter.

NA Player had issue with the Starter edition, going into battle.net and changing your password solves the problem.

Source it should end up being just like Diablo 3. You select what region you want to play on and what language, then log in and play. You will have to download language packs first time you use a language, but after that its just a matter of choosing from drop down menus.

Didn't work in my case... I mean, when I want to play everything is fine, but on us.battle.net the game is still marked as Starter.

i fucked something up i changed my client to taiwan now everything appears in Taiwan and i dno how to change it back to EU help plz

Argh, nothing's working. Getting starter edition on my home server (SEA) and getting some weird error when I try to join games on NA.
Also that regions.xml did absolutely nothing to my built-in region changer. Only showing SEA and NA like normal.

I don't get the point of this, if the lag makes it unplayable. In bw it worked playing with everyone and there was in general no lag. But well bw also had lan and now blizzard says it is impossible...
