Have you considered the fact that not being paid for 5 months may not have left him in a financial position to hire a lawyer and pursue legal action, or that Owned is based in Austria, causing such pursuit to be much more difficult? | ||

You have to have the cash to hire the lawyer to sue someone and you have to do a cost benefit analysis to see if it is even worth suing someone (ie you could get a settlement that would cover your lawyer fees and you still get what is owed to you). | ||

I actually had to stop watching Steven's stream after he switched because it lagged when I put it on 1080p and flat out didn't work on anything lower. For the longest time I thought it was simply my internet or computer, but even after upgrading both of those things it still didn't work. It turns out I was right to assume the issue lies with Own3d. Here's hoping this story reaches as many people as possible and Own3d phases out of existence. They way they've treated Steven is unacceptable. I'm definitely going to start watching Steven's stream again and possibly even subscribe, if for no other reason than I feel bad for the situation he's in. | ||

But if telling the story helps clean up the industry, or prevents others from being cheated the way he was, then why wouldn't he tell the story? You certainly "on to can do anything", you can spread the information so that people make informed choices on which company they choose to work with or support. | ||

They might hang around for a while, taking advantage of smaller players and people who will use their service for free, etc, but eventually, they will close. If by some miracle they come into some money, satisfy their debts, and get back on the straight path, I will be truly amazed. I've seen many companies go broke, trying to stay afloat, making and breaking promises, it always ends the same. | ||

I completely agree, spreading the story was by far the best move. My sarcastic comment was more aimed at people who seem to think that suing own3d will be a quick fix to the situation without considering the logistics behind it. | ||
