I started disastrously and managed to pull myself back to #544 with a huge last week. Basically I ignored the cardinal rule of never picking Shine, Roro or Jaehoon on my anti-team and paid the price for it. Like everyone else, I also should have traded for Stephano in the first week, and got rid of Puma as soon as possible =/
Other than that, luck wasn't on my side. Flying sucked, and so did Puma (I thought he was really good value at the beginning, but I guess not). And then out of all the random two pointers, I just had to pick Speed for my anti-team, who turned out to be the find of the season for T8.
Well, you learn.
The good news is that Shine is slumping hard, which means lots of people will put him on their anti for round two and proceed to get destroyed in classic fashion.

Well, goal accomplished for me.
I wanted to be top 1/4, I ended 1117# and 262/1501 protoss users. I think I got to much carried by my heart and not by my brain... but still, this was really fun.
Better than expected
s2: 11 points. Yes, s2. For a 1point guy, this is a very nice investment if you compare it to some "stars" that performed poorly. Played 3times/7matches, is 2-1 including one victory of Jaedong that saved T1 head vs EGTL. Hats off, s2.
As expected
Fantasy (captain): 27 points. Amazing player for an amazing performance. More than everything: Fanta enjoys playing and you feel it when watching his play.
JangBi: 15 points. Really near disappointment, but performed well at the end. When such a BW monster says that he really loves SC2.. just don't count him out.
SKTT1: because it's SKT. Nuff said.
Disappointments
HerO: 13 points. Not bad, yes... but he was so expensive that he wasn't worth it. Never used as ace, didn't play the beginning of the round, and 3-3 only.
Bisu: 8 points. Yeah, I know... got carried by my heart. But... it's Bisu. Those points would have been much more useful in another player though. Quite the difference since he was quite expensive at the beginning. But his saving grace that makes him not bad in my main is because of SKT...
IdrA: 3 points. My fault, I thought he would originally play. Still, I believe he would make a quite nice sniper, especially in HOTS since he trains hard and early.
Anti-team: -26, I think it's pretty reasonable. Satisfied here with Stephano, Reality and Terminator.
Really waiting for next round.
FPL makes proleague so much more exciting... even if the quality wasn't always there, the entertainment was for me far higher than GSL.

When will next round of FPL open?

So there will still be fantasy for round 2, even if it is an all-kill format?

Well we had fantasy GSTL and GSTL was always all kill, so...

will there be a post about the scoring for the all-kill format? can imagine it would be slightly different but well, maybe im wrong

Pretty happy with my round 1 performance #67 overall) considering I didn't follow bw at all My team Captain tajea: I thought he was the best player overall and the fact he is balenced in all matchups meant he would get every ace match for eg-liquid. I still think it was a good pick but wish he won one more ace match. Neo soulkey - I went with soul key because out of all the brood war players I seen play vs top gsl guys soul key was the most consistent more so then flash rain and bogus. Also soulkey is go to guy on woojin.unlike the combo of rain and fantasy on sk who might spilt ace dutys Jangbi- I needed a Protoss and while I wasn't impressed with his osl matches but for his price I thought he was a solid choice. He turned it around at the end but boy do I wish I picked wooki Bbyong- I picked him based on solid gsl results and low price. He didn't do as well as I thought but had alot of tough match ups and if his value stays low I might take him again Ryul2- extremely cheap and with Jaedong gone he was now team 8 #1 Zerg and with tal drim alter in the map pool he seemed like a good pick. Hyuk- I needed a 1 point player so I just picked someone on Sk who I though was the best team. I traded and got sc2 a solider player who I foolishly traded for puma week 4 Kt rolster I picked them thinking they were valued correctly and playing a undermanned eg-liquid team week 1. I was hoping to trade up to sk or cj if they started strong but just stuck with them as they kicked butt all season Can't wait for next round anyone know when we can start picking teams?

When do signups start? The new PL round starts in 3 days :D

Did surprisingly well for my first Fantasy Proleague. Managed to stay in top 100 (#99 it is!) for the final round, and even bounced to around #35 once.
Fantasy and Flash as captain performing as well as expected, though I was a bit sad by Flash's losses the final week. Crazy-Hydra was a good pick, and free was alright. The other two spots are dead-end. Low value players I can't trade for anything better. At least they're on SKT and gives me a point each every time the team wins, which is quite often. Currently I have only one player from outside SKT and KT, which is free. Seems it was a good idea, since both teams are doing great.
Anti-team is doing good. Had Trap first week, and though I like him and he's good, I had a feeling he would underperform at the start, which he did. Traded him for Stephano before Trap started winning. Having Zenio on my anti is somewhat mixed. I've always felt he was overvalued, but EG-TL keeps sending him out, and he occassionally wins, but I guess 9 points isn't so bad for me.
Being totally carried by chosing KT as my team though. Definitely loving the whole concept of Fantasy Proleague. Makes the games so much more exciting!

I'm content with #43 despite place #2 after week 2.
hero[join] => Soulkey hero[join] was the best player in the first 2 weeks with 18 points. I then traded him for Soulkey for gave me 12 additional points (7 more than hero would have). Content with both.
Action Got him because of his first week match against Thorzain. He brought 23 total points for the investment of 3 credits. What a beast!
soO 17 points are ok-ish for a 6 credit player. Should have traded him for Taeja after week 2 (or 3?).
ZerO Another great value (17 points) for 4 credits.
Bbyong My captain. Could have done a bit better than 12 points for 4 credits.
Crazy-Hydra => Terminator Traded Crazy-Hydra away for Terminator after week 2. While Terminator wasnt bad (didnt get to play his set #6 in last 2 matches), Crazy-Hydra went on to win 3 sets. Big mistake.
Anti-Team Trap Correct pick as far as worst performing 7 credit player goes. Still Stephano was 'not performing' and should have been the trade after week 1.
Zenio => Stephano So I only could trade Zenio for him after week 2. Which was still worth it.
Huk Was fielded twice, played and lost 1. Good pick.

I have seen the top standing of the fantasy proleague and I'm very surprised nearly everyone at the top 100 (even top 10) were pretty bad with their antiteam. Only 7 people out of the top100 have -15 or less with their antiteam. Idra and Stephano were obvious choices for round one since their were not gonna play. Especially Stephano with his 7$ price. Huk was pretty obvious too.

Otherwise of course a IdrA - Stephano - Huk (not sure if 13 points) or Shine would have been a deadly combination.

Huk was pretty obvious too. Stephano was ineligible for round one because he wasn't in Korea, you had to trade for him after the first week in order to get him on your anti team.
And it was pretty fucking hard to get -15 or less on your anti team. Most people didn't have a clue about the level of Kespa players prior to the start of the season and once you pick, you can only trade upwards in point value and you never know who's going to get a lucky break.
IdrA/HuK are maybe "obvious choices" to you, but in reality they were so low in point value that you really couldn't pick both of them comfortably without getting fucked by your third player choice.
Ideally you probably should have picked something like 6/4/3 or 6/5/2 in point values, and then you need to get lucky that the highly valued players don't perform at all. Next round will be way harder because Stephano will presumably be playing so there won't be an easy way out of having a seven point player who never actually plays and only gives you team point losses.
Trap/Shine/Kop (trade Trap for Stephano after R1) would have been a just about optimal FPL anti team, but getting this right was very very unlikely.
I don't think many players will have a sub-20-point anti team next round.

Knowing that Shine would have a 0-5 record was way harder edit: Ok StarVe, you had to trade Stephano after the first week so maybe I should count people with -20 or less in their antiteam but there are still very few of them. And when I say "obvious", I mean "relatively obvious comparing to how this particular unknown for sc2 kespa pro will perform". Yes you had to pick one of them and another one with a 3$ value. By the way, congratulations for your +144 fantasy team points.

Yeah maybe but not everyone knew it. For the instance I only knew it after reading it somewhere on this thread a few hours after the sign-ups were closed. The next anti-team picks will be far harder without a "free" +7 points player, and more people will be signed up/warned up about how the fantasy team league works, so it'll be very interesting.
Plus tell me if I'm wrong but isn't all-kill format harder to master because you don't have only "ace potential" to take into account but also sniper who gains points by stopping streak and stuff like that?

Anyone knows when will the new round start? I had really a lot of fun even though at start I didn't know almost any player and just random picked most, but now after somewhat knowing the players I think the 2nd round will be even more great!

Will you start with your current team for round 2 or will you start from scratch?
