Also, this situation reminds me of so many dodgy managers I've seen. When something goes wrong, they immediately pick one decent person and ask why that person didn't speak up. Like it's so easy for Crank to just go and badmouth all his team-mates like MMA and Ryung, as if that's his duty. This was always the management's responsibility. If they are so blind as to what is happening in their own team and the discontent of players then they are incompetent. Telling Crank he should have stepped up and dobbed a bunch of people in - when he probably wasn't even sure they were in the wrong - is absurd and offensive. Boxer ends with "just come and say sorry once and it will be over". Fuck off. Edit: Not to mention that Crank apparently was telling Cella and Boxer that there were issues in the team. This guy isn't a manager, he's not a coach, he isn't even the team Captain. He's the vice-Captain, with a neck injury. And he wanted to leave which is something that Jessica had offered previously anyway. And then he had the hide to try and make some money by streaming/finding a new team post all this! Wow how unreasonable lol.

As long as he's a coach and not a manager, and more importantly keeps his work life and woman life separate, why would SKT1 have issues with the script?

Edit: Jessica deserves to go broke for this. What sort of mature adult behaves this way? An immature and vindictive one that's who.

The other story is the whole esf thing which certainly didn't help but still remains just one piece of the bigger picture and is also a convenient way for Jessica to redirect the blame on someone else.

At some points, Boxer was a player. Sure it was "his" team, but he had staff around him who in theory should probably have been doing the "stuff", while he was trying to be a player. You can't accuse him of being lazy when his job wasn't do to the things he wasn't doing. Irresponsible maybe, due to seemingly allowing people who weren't suitable to be in those roles, but not lazy.

Everything is a fight to the death with her if you fight back". And Boxer admitting he thought it was Crank's fault because he left first. But then acknowledging he wasn't responsible but he left first so therefore it's fine to just jump to the conclusion that it's his fault and then dump everything on him. And then he says, well, you were hanging out with MMA so.... Like he is guilty by association! Also, this situation reminds me of so many dodgy managers I've seen. Totally OT, but I just saw where you're from and am embarrassed to admit that I had never heard of Guernsey before. I learned something today :D Who said there aren't any lessons to be learned from melodrama?

I just wish that people would look at this objectively and not just from one point of view.", as opposed to "That guy is cancer. It's his fault" (paraphrasing) Just want to point out this part which is very odd to me. Not sure if we both read the statement. Yes, he started off by saying, "this does not mean the players are right and Jessica is wrong." Then he continues with: Jessica this, Jessica that, Jessica caused Boxer to quit SC2 for a while. Jessica didn't listen, Jessica lalala. Oh and I'm sorry for saying slave contract but Jessica lah, Jessica deeh. End off with: "I'm very thankful for Jessica and Boxer for getting me to where I am now." Just forget that I spent the past ten minutes of the interview thrashing them... Love MMA (look at my past post, I always rooted for him 2011 and early 2012 when he was active). But come on, all those saying that MMA did the mature thing. Not to say you did but I'm sure a lot of people just skimmed the interviews, read some flowery phrases and came to certain conclusions. Read his statement again from start to finish. Is it surprising that this coupled with Crank's statement pissed off Jessica? There are certainly ways to present your side of the story without making some wild accusations like "Jessica caused Boxer to quit SC2 for a while" if your only intention is to present your own side.

Well if he played Troy - which he stated himself - then he wasnt a SC2 player anymore and since he came out to "check on things" he was more like a trainer/manager and had more serious responsibilities. There is no way to clear Boxer of this part of the blame for the descent of "his" team.

- huge miscommunication between Crank and the team. Resulting in Jessica trying to lay the blame for lots of things on Crank. - Boxer seemingly being a long-suffering partner with the phrase "You know her style. If you fight back she is going to have a fight to the death. You don't seem to stay quiet." (I mean seriously WTF? That makes Jessica look awful as a manager) - MMA suffered a nuclear meltdown in his relationship with both Boxer and Jessica. Both sides seemingly to blame. But it rapidly became toxic and effected the team extremely negatively. Honestly I don't think Boxer comes off great, but honestly it seems almost as if he's just totally exhausted of all of the drama and totally switched off from it all (which is perhaps understandable given the circumstances). Feel sorry for him more than anything. Everyone could have handled this better, although I think Jessica comes off worse than everyone this time around. Since its clear there were some major issues with how she handled her players.

Not just Koreans, any Asians will not let Crank go easily at this thing. It is a culture difference, and what I don't really get is why are Westerners judging Korean behaviour using Western standard? Another good example of cultural difference again comes up in Jessica's interview in response to Crank. Q: Have you tried to contact Crank again after the phone call on August 10? A: If you think about the hierarchy between the manager and the player, wouldn't it be wrong for me to contact him first? Crank should have called or texted me first, but he didn't. After that day, he acted on his own. This is true in Asian culture, though in Western culture you will simply think the shit is over. Let me remind you, Crank is Korean who was on a Korean team. He should of know better.

It made poor CranK look like an emotional wreck (because he was) and that the guy is extremely worried about what will happen to him, his desire to set the story straight with Boxer and Jessica with no malice or hatred. Just confusion and misunderstanding. It made Boxer look, to be honest, classy as f**k. I cant get how the intonation changes through the transcript but it seems as though boxer does a lot to calm the situation down and mediate between the affected parties. It is my belief that keeping Boxer's image was the point of this phone call being released not to shift blame to one or the other
