Jessica likes to read various community sites and berated boxer by saying things like ‘why did you do this’, ‘why didn’t you use this strategy’

is jessica a regular in our LR threads??

I don't have any insider information here or know who tells the truth and who doesn't, but from a tactical point spoken, i think it was very smart from MMA to say that Boxer quit playing, felt bad, etc. because of Jessica.

the fact that there was a practice ban was enough for eSF to have 'lost' that battle in Korea, regardless of the actual length. That issue is effectively over in Korea.

I think a lot of people are putting a little too much emphasis on finding out who's to blame. It's a genuinely sad event and I think people should just take it at that face value. Slayers was a great team, always a pleasure to watch, and was yet another product of Boxer's passion and enthusiasm for the Starcraft scene. When Slayers was first announced, I remember thinking that this could very well be Boxer's greatest contribution: a progaming team that would carry not only his name but his work ethic, his innovation, his desire to win, and just his legacy overall. And to see it go down in flames like this? Littered with controversy and pointing fingers? Heartbreaking....just hearbreaking.....

Unless someone is straight up lying at this point (there shouldn't be any need to, especially since there allegedly are recorded phone calls) it seems like it's just a lack of communication between the management and players. But again, at this point it shouldn't even matter.

I think we scared her off with our German potato salad.

On a more serious note, this drama seems to have no end and I highly doubt there will be any contest for which drama receives the SC2 Drama of the Year Award 2012.

Are you serious? Because those allegations are going to have very serious consequences if Boxer comes out and supports Jessica. And who do you think Boxer is more likely to support? His long term fiance or the player he personally called "cancer"?

Pretty immature behavior from all parties involved imo. Acting on alleged rumors without confronting on time usually ends up in a shitstorm like this. Very sad.

Yaay, more drama, that's what the SC2 community needs...
Seriously, without Mvp I would quit SC2 entirely. He's the only thing that keeps me interested in this scene. This community with all its drama, incidents and other bullshit is just sad. You want eSport/SC2 to become mainstream? Never gona happen with things like this whole SlayerS drama happening on a regular basis.

TIG: can you tell us of hidden facts regarding the transfer
Mma: afterwards, I was able to find out about the trade negotiations. An incredibly large sum of money was demanded for me even though I had 3 months left on my contract. The talks broke down. This was because of the absurd transfer fee and other inquiries were made to teams that I didn’t even want to go to.

I wonder which team offered this 'incredibly large sum of money' to MMA. EG maybe?

What this answer of mma means is that Jessica wanted a high transfer fee for him. And thats why the foreign team that had interest, backed out of the talks.

Ah right, that makes a lot of sense now.
Thank you.

I can understand how Crank can rationalize to himself that he didn't do anything wrong, but in this case, the end result is more important than intent. In the end, he DID leave slayers and joined a foreign team, and Jessica would have every right to feel betrayed in that case.

Is Manager J snowbird, because he speaks korean, english and german AND is involved in SC2 esports?

I mean it seems like it, because he says so in this interview:

Yeah, as I thought misunderstandings are ripe and though I still think MMA made some mistakes (of which he apologises for a couple) I was pretty shocked to see that every little thing Jessica said people believed 100%.

But as Fionn said: MMA is going to get wrecked in Korea just because of who he's dealing with. A shame really. If it had been about any other team's manager and their girlfriend then he'd probably be fine.

Whether I want to or not...I'm waiting to see Jessica's backlash. It'll come...=(

seems like it was just a bad situation on SlayerS where neither the players nor management were doing much to help it improve, and it all got blown up when Jessica decided all the blame belonged to one side.

Well, I definitely agree that the whole situation was messy, I think everyone was to blame. I don't think it's fair to say that it was all Jessica's fault for blaming the other side, as MMA seems to have done the same thing here. Sure, they both put in token apologies, but the majority of both the players' posts and Jessica's posts are very one-sided. I will say that it is management's responsibility to oversee the team and improve the atmosphere, though I think far too many people believe this removes any blame from players/employee J/ESF etc. There were many people going behind the backs of slayers' management, and under such conditions it is impossible to correctly guide the situation.

All of this really just makes me sad and I wish they all could've had the chance to work everything out.
