Sure seems that way. Now that none of that worked out it's time to drag them in the mud to further this misery SlayerS evolved into.

Even if that is the fact no one can blame them for doing so.

It is a well known fact that Jessica & Boxer lost a ton of money they personally invested into the team, which was made to give SC2 players a proper environment to train & develop into progamers.

There are too many false accusations flying around here, let me point out two things:

1. It doesn't matter whether Manager J actually did/did not help out with the training of Slayers players other than MMA.
He was brought in as MMA's personal trainer, and he only became a part of Slayer's staff (note how I said staff, and not coach) to take care of Slayer's Tweeter & facebook accounts. He was never given the role/authority/pay to coach the players and ESPECIALLY never to take part in dealing with other SC2 teams/agencies. Jessica states in her latest interview
(not included in the OP as far as I know, and the address to original Korean interview is here: http://www.thisisgame.com/board/view.php?id=1320974&board=&category=13438&subcategory=&page=1&best=&searchmode=&search=&orderby=&token= if anyone can translate that for the rest of the non-Korean community, that'd be great)
that manager J over stepped his role and got himself involved in talking to outside team's regarding MMA's transfer, causing confusion for everyone as an end-result (he apparently did not do a proper communication either)
Yes Jessica should've had a tigher clamp on Manager J, who apparently was not acting with any sort of professional mindset, but it is difficult to blame her in this case as she can't communicate in English which makes it very difficult to check on Manager's J's activities that involve English.

2. Keep in mind that MMA signed a contract with Slayers, and if he is to transfer to another team, it needs to be done in a team to team basis. That involves paying the transfer fee to Slayers, and Jessica/Slayers had every right to do that. (not to mention that is the proper route to take. Whether the transfer fee Jessica demanded was unreasonable - nobody knows whether that's true or not. None of you guys have the figures, and even if you do, none of you guys are experts in the field. Let it go unless something solid comes out, which I doubt it will.

In conclusion, Jessica did not do anything wrong - some may blame her for not being a better manager, but that's completely different from her making faulty decision. The entire trouble started from MMA becoming confused by manager J's deeds (him acting on his own account that ultimately put the team in confusion & trouble) and him not being professional and not handling it through the proper route - he only has himself to blame for that and for demoralizing the team (he should really be blamed for playing a major role in taking Slayers apart, imo)

Just a note, manager J was never a coach for anyone on the team, including MMA. Manager J was brought in by Jessica/Boxer without any of the players (that I know of) being a major reason for his hiring for dealing with foreign relations/sponsorships. The person I was referring to was coach Ryu, a completely different person who was part of a different controversy in which Jessica said that he only coached MMA when it is demonstrable that he helped many players on Slayers.

Also, Jessica does have a right to ask for a transfer fee, I agree. She should not however say that a transfer fee had absolutely no bearing on MMA not getting transferred when it almost certainly did. If a team shows interest and then when told the transfer fee doesn't follow up or even attempt to negotiate, then the transfer fee in all likelihood had some bearing on the situation.

Well, boxer did say in the phonecall with Crank that while Crank was 'standing still' (hadn't had monetary success in SC2), boxer had taken several steps back.

I'm referring to the fact that it's not a 'mess' Slayers are creating, but it's part of regular business routine when it comes to pro teams. Get the context straight.

HKF, not only are you being a dick, but you are being a moron while at it.
Both boxer and Jessica stated in multiple interviews the amount of investment they made, the level of accommodation the Slayers team provided their players (expensive beef dinner, providing Limos & luxury car rides, having them stay at a comfortable big apartment suite with meals provided, etc) is way above what the team earned in their performance or in their sponsorship value.

Thanks for pointing that out - I read the interviews in Korean, and mixed up the names of the staff in English.

But the point I'm making though, is that even if Ryu did help other teammates, it doesn't really matter as he was not hired to be a coach, in fact Jessica said explicitly in her interview that he 'may' get hired as a coach in the future when circumstances get better. (quoting the interview Jessica did as a follow up to the MMA interview)
He was brought into the team as MMA's personal staff (again referring to the same interview), he was made clear of the situation that he's not being hired by the team (as a side note he was supposed to get compensated by MMA himself, which he neglected doing), and in fact the team (Jessica) did him a favor by letting him stay in the team house for free and providing him meals on top of that.

Jessica's clearly not in the wrong with what happened when it comes to Ryu - it's MMA's shortcoming that shows his lack of professionalism (don't get me wrong, I was one of the biggest fan of MMA and still is, but I definitely am disappointed by his lack of professionalism/ethics as professional gamer)

Has anybody thought of the question: why did Jessica disband the whole team with a strong roster all of a sudden? I can only imagine she got so emotional (she did get quite emotional from time to time) that she and Boxer had put so much into this team, yet many of their players not only did not understand them but doubted their integrity? As one of the Republication nominees (I forgot which) said, 'If I receive millions of endorsement all over the place and now you are accusing me of embezzling five thousand dollars. I'm OFFENDED!' Jessica is a successful actress and Boxer earned a ton of money from prizes and salary as a coach, yet someone from their team suspected them from stealing the prize money? She must've felt extremely betrayed by 'their' kids - 'if you dont trust me, let's call it off and you guys go and find your new teams. I don't care anymore'.

The biggest reason she/they (her and boxer) decided to disband the team is because there simply was no more players left in the team. They had 5 players they signed up in contract from the beginning - likes of MMA, Crank, Alicia, Ryung and one other. They represented the 'pro' line of the team (as they were the only ones that the team really 'possessed'), and unfortunately they were the ones that made a small group with themselves, distancing themselves from the rest of the team and not cooperating with the team (refusing to play in GSTL league games, etc).

This is the biggest reason why MMA's getting the heat for failing to act as a professional gamer - he not only got himself confused, but he dragged the other teammates (who also happened to be star players for the team), something a 5th grader would do.

Jessica stated in one of her interview that with MMA & Crank refusing to play (not even refusing in an official manner - they were avoiding calls/meetings and sending her texts that 'they can't play' or talking to her in indirect fashion through other staff) there were only 8 players available that they could put in roster for GSTL league games - obviously a very desperate and impossible situation as a team.

She had no other option (other than buying a different team's roster) but to disband the team left to her, thanks to those 'star' players.

im realy not loving mma and crank for what they did , they should have trust boxer and jessica not someone who was with them for 2 months , he should have talk , ask if the sponsor was real or not , not talk with 3 other player and distance from the team like they did , that the reason boxer called mma a cancer and asked him to go play at home . also mma should have act more mature and not say what they did in interview in the first place , then jessica would have never posted all the proof she did .

now mma and crank should make a interview and say they are sorry for what they have say , and maybe this drama will end

but still , they have destroyed slayers , im not sure i can forgive them .

Contracted players on SlayerS are/were MMA, Ryung, Alicia, Puzzle, and GanZi. Genius, who joined the team later, probably was given a contract as well. These contracts are running out on November 6. GanZi made a deal with Jessica and got released from his contract. Puzzle decided to quit SC2 and play LoL in the future. Alicia apparently got released from contract because of something undisclosed and reportedly has found a new overseas team.

Everyone else, including Crank, did not have a contract.

I believe the team has to disband mainly because they lost all sponsorships. I think i saw it somewhere.

Also because of the whole MMA/alicia/crank/ryung thing. (not saying its solid though) the "strong roster" is no more.

Well, MMA did bring up the issue of the sponsorship with Boxer, and it is known that Jessica hated MMA for doing that because it caused Boxer to question Jessica, and Jessica was VERY upset at Boxer questioning her about something like that and assured Boxer there was no sponsorship offer for MMA, (which of course we know there was, so MMA's question was legitimate, even though according to Jessica she had no way of knowing that at the time because Manager J was in charge of reading her sponsor e-mails).

I bring this not because I believe MMA is faultless, (indeed, if Jessica is telling the truth about MMA agreeing to pay Ryu and he didn't, that's awful, graphics card present to him aside of course, if there was an actual monetary agreement that MMA didn't adhere to, I'll have lost a lot of respect for him), but because you make it seem like MMA didn't go to boxer when we know that he did.

business as usual...eSports is dominated by a bunch of amateurs referring to themselves professional.

Then they complain about the fact they don't get any sponsors..well if I would have a company I would sponsor a player like MMA, but why should I support their sparring partners and managers???

The blame still falls at the feet of those in charge of the failed organization. Blaming the players for the failed team is really low IMO, Boxer / Jessica just were not cut out for running a successful team, if they want to blame the players, they should have and could have dealt with those players before it came to this.

Excuse me? You talk like as if MMA receiving a personal sponsorship was a fact.
At this point, it clearly isn't.
MMA only claimed he heard such news from manager J. There was no evidence provided by either of them nor was there confirmation from Manager J that such thing actually happened.
The only thing we have is MMA's claim that he heard such news from Manager J, and Jessica claiming that there was no personal sponsorship offer for MMA to the best of her knowledge (unless Manager J refused to tell Jessica about it, in which case it is his entire fault)

As it is the nature of such things, the accuser have the responsibility of proving (by giving evidence) their accusation to be true, or there is no accusation worth any weight or consideration.

Please stop confusing people with your mock claim of what isn't true at this point.

Then they complain about the fact they don't get any sponsors..well if I would have a company I would sponsor a player like MMA, but why should I support their sparring partners and managers???

There are different marketing strategies - some of them involve team sponsorship, which is the reason for us having pro teams around the world having sponsors.

The blame still falls at the feet of those in charge of the failed organization. Blaming the players for the failed team is really low IMO, Boxer / Jessica just were not cut out for running a successful team, if they want to blame the players, they should have and could have dealt with those players before it came to this.

No blame does not always fall at the feet of those in charge. Under your logic, all parents with problematic/unsuccessful children should be blamed for their failures, all presidents of all countries should be blamed for every crime & fault that is happening in their country/by their countrymen.

That's nonsense.

So you're saying that if your country failed and got destroyed from the inside, you would blame the people and not the leaders... That's an odd sentiment.
