Sad that their relationship soured to the point that Boxer considered MMA "a cancer to the team". I remember them at MLG Anaheim D: Actually, this could make a great storyline. Boxer vs MMA showmatch Bo9 please, followed by an actual MMA fight. Like chess boxing! Obiwan vs Anakin :o It's OVER, MY TANKS ARE ON THE HIGH GROUND. MMA then goes on to rise as EG.MMA meanwhile Boxer trains young Fantasy Skywalker in the ways of the sc2 terran Fantasy will then travel to the IM house after Boxer's imminent demise to learn from Yoda.
Problem is that Boxer has the title 'emperor', which is going to confuse people

Considering all the unnecessary drama Jessica has caused on several occasions, some of us takes what Jessica says with a grain of salt.

Yep he walked away from Slayers because of the problems(most likely) and that was the final straw.

Is it just me or does the entire post sound like a middle-school girl wrote it, trying to explain her way out of a paper bag? It's all he said this and she said that so I did this blah blah blah.
Why can't we hear from the players? I would love to hear what Boxer has to say or MMA or Crank, because this is only one side of the story. It seems this Manager J guy was pretty convincing to the players, and that makes me wonder about the true nature of these published comments.
It seems one major factor in the downfall of SlayerS was their decision to not join the eSF. The eSF was designed as a union of players to protect their interests and use the collective power to bargain against greedy tournaments/team managers. So it seems SlayerS not joining eSF was seen as somewhat traitorous by the other Korean teams.
The whole thing is a mess, but as others have said I think we could see this coming once Jessica was put in charge. This disbandment seems like another emotional momentary lapse of judgement just like most of her other zany decisions.

I hope that Crank will give out a statement as well trough Genna. Hopefully we will get to the truth in the end, whatever it may be... and I can only assume this day will get even more depressing T_T

Oh boy..........this is gonna get so much worse with player testimonies.....fists flying left and right

Jesus this thing is huge.
Next part:
Change of BoxeR's mind - He was very disappointed when MMA called it a slavery note. He remembered how he started and how players were living more than ten years ago and he wanted to create a better environment for players. After everything he gave up to come to SC2 to fulfill his dream of remaining as a player and training new players who can shine in e-sports, what MMA did damaged BoxeR. - He was preparing to come back as a player before the HOTS was released. However after he wanted to quit.
- His passion as a manager and as a player were diminishing fast. I had hard time watching him too. He taught the players a more than ten-year period of experience inside and outside the game but the players didn't seem to appreciate that. That's when I suggested him to coach in T1 for remaining players, who may be able to fire up his passion again. After a few days of consideration, he agreed.
Alicia and Ryung - Ryung never received the highlight because of MMA but he was a good friend of MMA. When BoxeR cared for MMA the most, I cared for Ryung the most. When the incidents happened, I was worried about Ryung being influenced by that. When Ryung's wrists were bad. I sent him back home. He performed so much better. He never disappointed me. He tried his best in GSTL even in that atmosphere. But when Ryung behaved in a way MMA did, I was rather disappointed. When I asked him 'why are you being like that?' he also said 'I lost my faith in you at some point.' and when I asked him 'what have I done?' he couldn't answer
- As you might already know, Alicia was a B-team player. He was a hard worker who was also modest. But he started to change as he entered foreign tournaments. It's not a bad thing for a man to chase after money and fame but our team started with everything glamorously. When we resided in Yeouido (T/N: one of the richest area), we had both vans and cars to look after the kids. When our condition got better, we moved to Gimpo and we delegated more work to Cella. We were never hungry. If we started in hard conditions, maybe they would have been thankful as the conditions improve gradually but for us it was the other way around.
- Alicia's complaint was that no right person dropped him and picked him up from the airport when he entered foreign tournaments. The reason was that it's annoying to be picked up and dropped off by someone else but Cella. I just sighed when he told me this. I sent him up to take a break. His complaint was not something that I did wrong and I thought he lakced some common sense.

I was told by others that he is streaming and looking for a foreign team. So I asked him why he had to lie and what his unprofessional attitutes are for. I asked him if he knew why MMA wanted to leave the team. He answered 'it's because of me - when I told MMA that I want to move to another team because of the team atmosphere, MMA wanted to join me'. I asked MMA whether it was true and he denied. Other parts: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=376041¤tpage=8#156 Huh. In the other parts, didn't Jessica basically say that MMA wanted to form a new team and steal Slayers' players or something? This makes it sound like MMA simply wanted to go wherever Crank wanted to go. Big difference. To be honest, I get a bad vibe about Jessica from the translations done her (thank you so much for the translation, by the way), but I can't quite put my finger on it why. Weird. No. She said that some former manager J offered to Slayers players to join a new team that he would form and get sponsored, and MMA agreed. This seems to be a separate incident, as manager J's team never materialized and he was probably out of the picture by this point (of MMA's demotion). Perhaps you're getting some of this bad vibe because you are not remembering correctly. Actually, I think it's more because Jessica comes off as quite confrontational even in her own words. Even after reading it all again I don't see why she had to demote MMA instead of working things out with him. He was obviously unhappy to begin with, demoting him surely didn't help in that regard. On top of that, according to the post, the players, other managers, other teams and other team's managers are all at fault, one way or another. It's hard to believe that it's as simple as "Everyone is evil but me". Be that as it may. R.I.P. Slayers.
There is no doubt Jessica could have handled the matter better, but all that is just second guessing now. What appeared to be true, though, is that some of the key players in Slayers got too big heads and demonstrated a complete lack of team spirit. I don't care how unhappy you are, you just do not talk to Boxer that way.
What I want to know is why these other teams are still turning their backs on Slayers even after the Confederation has been replaced with ESF.

Damn this sucks, sad to see that SlayerS disbands, they were a really good team =(

The timing of the events that Jessica talks about isnt even clear so don't jump to conclusions. It sounds like BoxeR wanted to help the team but the players were not cooperating. I don't think BoxeR jumped ship... if what Jessica said is true he was personally funding the whole thing. He had every right to leave if the players werent respecting him. Seems like BoxeR did as much as he could but at a certain point he probably knew what was coming. Maybe MMA's story will clear things up though. Shitty situation one way or the other...
