There's no law that says you can't speak disgustingly to your friends. The only issue was it became public and he didn't want it to be. I think EG made the right call, but frankly people here need to lighten up. He didn't kill anyone, he didn't rape a child, he didn't do anything terrible except have sex with a younger person and then joke to bling about it. Big deal, worse shit happens daily.
I know a guy who went to prison for 3 years for this.
13 year old girl. Went to his house and seduced him. Parents found out, notified police, rest is history.
Stephano should be lucky its just a 1 month suspension. I bet the parents of the girl he fucked doesn't know, if they did I doubt the pro-scene would have Stephano anymore.

The definitive amount of crude comedy displayed, coupled with the delinquent's lack of vigilance, is enough humor to bond sage & simpleton.

Hey don't listen to the french guys defending Stephano. They're full of shit, talking out of their asses, and giving the French a bad reputation. As if we needed that.

I disagree.
So, there's the legitimacy to take YOUR private talks and give it to pubic and justify this with a laconic "Sorry, it went public". Seems legit and Big Brother would approve. Unfortunatelly, this is not 1984 Eurasia And no, it's not importart if you are a politician, an esport star or a private guy. Privacy is sacred and inviolable. If private stuff went public the guilty one is who make it public not the one who spoke.
In this case the punishment is deserverd due to the lack of attention 'cause the other guy was streaming and not for the joke itself.
Sorry for my bad English

Okay and? You think someone rapes a child and then rushes home to tell his friends about it? Of course I'm going on what he said, there isn't anything else to go on!

Seems that French people are good at sex, because they practice early.

Different country bro. And your friend is an idiot for putting his dick anywhere near a 13 year old girl in the USA. That's just fucking stupid and i have no sympathy for him. How does a 13 year old even seduce someone? How much sexual experience could they really have?

It's a sponsor move. EG can afford all of these players and the training environnement because of all that corporate money. Truth is, EG wouldn't care about what seemed to be nothing more than a (bad) joke, everything about the statement letter to Stephano's apology has been written by the upper echelon of the organisation.
What bothers me is: Idra (who I like as a player...) has said countless things that shocked me way more and has overall a much more dubious behavior than Stephano and I don't see any suspension or anything...

Stop saying he raped a child, first. Secondly, he stated it was a joke afterwards. Thirdly, even if it was true, we also don't know where this actually happened. If it was anywhere in the states, it would be statutory rape. If it was in some of the various countries of Europe, it could have been legal.
EGStephano @EGStephanoRC
I would like to apologize for my conversation with @dignitasBlinG during his stream. It was just a private joke, nothing serious, sorry !

I will you give you an example. If a person at work has a chat with a friend and jokes about abuse with a minor. If these chat logs gets to the employer then it is not the person fault for having private chat with a friend and making inappropriate jokes? It is the employee responsibility to not be offending and make sure they are professional he can joke all he wants private but not when working. This is how I see it playing the game and streaming is your work and if you have any conversation that is offending during it you should be reliable for it.

wow he excused it and still got suspended. i wuld find anoother team.

Ha this is awesome! It reminds me of a certain drawing of some important religious figure, that happened here in Denmark. It was meant as a joke, but got blown completely out of proportion, when people saw it stripped from context and explanation from the author. It started out as a joke, ended up hurting way to many people, just from stupidity and overreaction. And Stephanos comment wasn't even meant for the public. Untill i see a police-warrant for Stephano, or the 14 year old girl herself, saying he abused her, any sanction against Stephano is stupid.
worst case scenario for E.G is, now Stephano got a really good reason to grab the next lucrative contract coming his way.
Anyway, still thinks it's funny.

They can't afford him. Shame on them ruining his reputation for few dollars. Idra was bm all his life....EG...why...

Just giving an example of how this can fuck people up. Just because its a different country doesn't mean Stephano didn't break the law in his own country, because he did. 15 is the age for most areas in Europe, and generally it all depends on whether of not the parents decide to press charges or not.
Be happy r/srs didn't find out who he fucked and contact their parents is all im saying.
