A bad light on every woman? WTF? How?
The existence of a male hacker doesn't put a "bad light" on all men who tried to get good at the game.
She put a bad light on herself, and DeathAngel put a bad light on himself.

Right, just like how it reflects badly on all the men in the scene because DeathAngel made a total ass of himself too.

The older this community gets, the more drama seems to rear its ugly head. It's honestly just like cable TV at this point.

Funny, DeathAngel's liquipedia page already got changed to include this thread (and pointless drama) oO

This isn't one of those overblown drama TL situations.
Actually the conversation has mostly been somewhat thoughtful, the OP is thought out with solid evidence nothing circumstantial, not to mention from a very credible figure in the community.
This is different than drama and your typical blown out of proportion story we've seen of late. This to me is a pretty big deal/scam and worthy of the attention.

implying thats hard to do

Saw her streaming a coaching session one time and it genuinely seemed like she had no idea what was going on. Her advice was generic and lacked depth. Thought it was odd at the time but after finding this out it makes sense.
Like someone else said, it's sad that a decent sc2 player had to use a female's identity to get popular within the community. I guess it's something we have to deal with as aspiring progamers.

Gotta remember this if deathangel ever recieves sponsors. Emails of death.

I realize that's the "lesser" evil here, but are we happy simply drawing a line in the sand saying, "you can deceive yourselves and de-legitimize the ladder, but not for money?" It would be nice if the ladder was a more reliable resource, and of course, it would be nice if Blizzard could do more about cheating.
I feel that if power-leveling is not shunned, it will create tempting situations leading to what happened here, and I consider power-leveling dishonest enough on its own anyway.
On the other hand, I have only faraway hopes that esports will grow and become any more of a "shining example" than any other mainstream sports, and I doubt that ancient sports history (pre '70s, let's say) was perfectly free of cheating and the like.
As to the starving or underpaid pros and semi-pros, I don't see that changing just because you wish it, or because teams and businesses stop giving preferential treatment to girls. For one, professional sports are very top-heavy, and I expect esports to grow into similar top-heaviness--not that you won't see relative improvements at lower levels, hopefully including a more livable salary.
More importantly, women theoretically bring additional attention and growth to the scene, and will ultimately benefit you even if they take away opportunity in the short-term. And what's also important to these businesses is their growth, not yours. I'll be happy if they can at least grow ethically without any Ministry of Win dramas rewarded in kittens. There is nothing that should be banned about power leveling, it's a consenting transaction between two people. There is something wrong with selling coaching on false premises, because the consenting transaction is based upon falsehoods, ergo, it's fraud.
Selling drugs also falls under that definition. I'm sure you can find a better justification than that.
Having your account power-leveled so you can claim to be something you're not is inherently dishonest, and that dishonesty invariably affects both parties. If you were to sell guns on the street, assuming there were no laws against doing that, you might still feel responsible when one of your buyers shoots someone (even happily responsible, if it was self-defense). That's not to say gas stations should feel responsible for arson, but there's an understanding that gasoline is for powering automobiles, while guns are for shooting things. What is power leveling for? Deception on the part of the user. The seller is tainted by association and enabling the deception, however harmless it is in the scheme of things.
There's a reason selling drugs is regulated, while selling candy is something 8 year olds can do for fundraisers. Similarly, the profession of "salesman" is not one without responsibility and limits. It often requires licences and other validating documents, and it generally has a purpose beyond allowing someone to misrepresent themselves.

if you were in his pants ?
To be fair she's not attractive at all. So no.

IIRC Kalu is/was actually a high masters-level player, though she was close with Major and... ST_Rainbow? Not sure, been a while since I saw that name. But she's actually pretty sick good.
