Ayyye ayee yeeee! Between MLG and OGN my SC2 budget is blowin' up!
Sad to say I can't resist watching KESPA players though, especially after Rain and Flash's recent performances in OSL and GSL.
Wait wait wait time out! Where are you guys finding the "rigged" brackets and format info, Liquidpedia says none of that has been announced yet?!?!?
AND IF IT IS TRUE, FUCK KESPA if they aren't man enough to play a straight up tournament. MLG this also shines a bad light on you as well for allowing KESPA to continue to promulgate this bullshit. Next thing we know they are gonna fire DOA and Moletrap and shutdown the English stream.

Thanks for reposting the OP O.o
I think Scarlett's post shows there is a lot of information we don't know yet about this Tournament. That being said I'm not putting my $10 down until MLG clears all this up.

Secondary casters and PPV? Doesn't sound very appealing
|
Didnt we just say we dont want to use this PPV system? Their numbers last time was shit, and the BW players wont fix it.
|
Yea not going to pay not going to watch but will pay attention to results
|
Kespa is obv terrified of having its players stomped by the fulltime SC2 players... I don't think I'll be getting this either. Unless they randomly seed the players either into brackets or groups, so we really get to see Kespa vs MLG each time we tune in.
Nope.

So an online PPV tournament? I thought this was going to be a LAN of some sorts. And on top of that, we won't even get to see Kespa vs foreigner until the end? I was pretty excited to begin with, but I think I just might pass on this one. There's already enough online content out there, and almost all of it is free. Even NASL and GOM have free options, and they provide a lot more content than this seems to do.

weird move by MLG. can't see many people buying this pass.

Korean community is wondering what's up with the lack of Esports federation players? You know, MKP, DRG, guys who placed top at a lot of tournaments this year.

PPV for an online tourny is a hilarious concept to me. Whose going to pay to see kespa players discover latency? Its gonna be TSL3 all over again.

Im glad to see MLG is supporting NA scene. When NA dies then SC2 dies aswell because EU and KR scenes sux.

People need to think about how much money you would spend if you go out instead of staying and watching sc2. Would cost you soooooooooooooo much more than 10 bucks lol
Think about how much people pay for UFC for a few hours show....

I have a dream that one day this community will rise up and demand equal treatment for equal pro players.
I have a dream that one day the league of Global Starcraft 2 and the Starleague of Ongamenet will be able to sit down together at the table of Esports.
I have a dream that one day even the organization of KESPA, an organization sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of good games and fair play.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to MLG with. This will be the day when all professional Starcraft players will be able to play with a new meaning:
"Our game, 'tis of thee, sweet Wings of Liberty, of thee I sing. Land where Brood War died, land of the Terran pride, from every tourney bracket, let good games ring."
And when this happens, when we allow good games to ring, when we let them ring from every tournament and every show match, from every series and every league, we will be able to speed up that day when all pro SC2 players -- Koreans and Foreigners, KESPA and ESF, Teamliquid and EG -- will be able to join hands and sing in the words of that old gaming spirit:
"Good luck have fun! Good luck have fun! Good game well played! Good luck have fun!"

I asked MLG and they said the tournament begins with a Round Robin seeding round. Don't know why people are freaking out about a bracket, when to my knowledge, it has not yet been released.

I shed one tear for that. Nice job.

MLG needs to take a closer look at their target group.

Hahaha the lack of DRG and MKP is hilarious. And I need to remind Fnatic that they should join ESF.
Ups sorry for double post, Im om my Phone.
