Cool idea. I don't think many people will watch it because of the PPV though.

Will it be made clear which server the games are being played on at the start of every individual game? I know that in the past some leagues have switched servers between games.

Latency can have a massive impact on the games.

are the players invited just purely invited or based on some MLG point system. are the matches played live? what server would they be played on?

I wouldve bought it if the brackets didnt seem to be set up to prevent lesser kespa players gettin blown out by top foreigners or to prevent an all korean final etc. Earlier matches of foreigners vs top koreans/kespa players wouldve been more exciting to buy the 10 dollar package imo
JD, need I say more? :D

Sry, this is not a product im willing to buy. Will be interesting to see the results, and im sure it would be nice to watch a few games but this isnt something i would fit into my daily quality time, when i already follow GSL very closely. But hope it turns out good for you guys who are stoked about this.

Wow, icky format. The only Kespa vs. Non-Kespa match is the final?

So much for it being MLG vs. Proleague...

EDIT: Also if it's online why on earth is there a large portion of americans? It's completely unjustifiable given that europe has a larger population, more pro-gamers, and better pro-gamers.

I wonder if anyone print screened WCS Europe when some guy in the crowd was holding up a sign saying "Dreamhack > MLG". That would be appropriate right about now.;

The funniest part in the format is when european players are opposed to korean players while NA players are opposed to... NA players.

From what I understood NA players play every KeSPA player, and our results are stacked up to each other to determine playoff seeding (set amount of NA player seeding into playoff)

Dunno how willing I am to pay for this. I can turn on NASL and see good matches, I can turn on IPL and see good matches. While I would be really excited to watch this. I just don't think I will buy it, theres plenty of "online content" for free to watch. But with that said, I did buy Arena #1 HD pass PPV pass and loved it. I loved the spring season that followed, i paid $20 for that pass and got 3 events in HD i loved it. I really would love to see them sell HD pass by season instead of indvidual event.

Eh, MLG and their PPVs. Even if it was 0.01$ I won't buy it, because I don't believe that PPV is a good model at all
Also... It's a bunch of KeSPA players that will roflstomp the foreigners in no time, not much to watch actually.

Exactly my thoughts. I pay for plenty of HD streams for tournaments, but I will never support a pure PPV format. Free stream and higher quality pay stream for those who can afford it is the way to go to grow the sport. MLG disappoints me time and time again.

So Kespa vs Kespa until the finals, not as interesting as it originally sounded.

Yup agreed. Oh well guess I won't watch even though I'll miss jaedong playing TT.

I hope this is good, I don't mind PPV and $10 isn't much but for online cross server play(most Kespa player's have probably never played cross server) I think this might not be as amazing as it could be.

True.
Personally, i believed this is also the way to go.
Free stream for the lower quality
Higher stream(720p,1080p) for those who can pay.

A lot of tournaments do this but why is MLG only going for full PPV format?

If this is right, then the format is not as bad as we thought. This would mean tons of MLG vs KeSPA games (besides the first few rounds of playoffs). Even though I am not a fan of PPV, I might put in 10 bucks for it just because its KeSPA vs foreigners.

Ayyye ayee yeeee! Between MLG and OGN my SC2 budget is blowin' up!

Sad to say I can't resist watching KESPA players though, especially after Rain and Flash's recent performances in OSL and GSL.

Wait wait wait time out! Where are you guys finding the "rigged" brackets and format info, Liquidpedia says none of that has been announced yet?!?!?

AND IF IT IS TRUE, FUCK KESPA if they aren't man enough to play a straight up tournament. MLG this also shines a bad light on you as well for allowing KESPA to continue to promulgate this bullshit. Next thing we know they are gonna fire DOA and Moletrap and shutdown the English stream.

I think something got confused in the writeup here
"Should you accept your invitation, you will be scheduled to play 24 Matches, each against a different Proleague Player"
Is what it said for us
