edit: Huk/Idra winning this makes me sad. There are other/better choices.

umm thorzain, mana, vortix?
umm scarlet and major?

I won't argue for EU choices, there are so many to choose from. Mana is amazing right now. And scarlet/major are better choices then Huk/Idra. So good votes from you. xD

You do realize IdrA raped Major? In my opinion he has the best chance out of any US players to take on koreans on a good day..

i dont remember idra raping major, and i also think major is a better player overall, even if i am an idra fan

Scarlett is rolling NA lol, beating Idra that's amazing

As of right now Grubby, Lucifron and Thorzain would represent EU

No it wouldn't. Scarlett, Major, Illusion, and other NA players are just as strong as the European representatives. If it was all Europeans it wouldn't be GSL vs the world it would be GSL vs Europe.

No, Scarlett, Major, Illusion are far below people like Nerchio, Lucifron, Vortix, Grubby SortOf, Slivko, Kas, Mana and few others.

Typical European elitist response. There's little to no difference between them. I'd pick major and Scarlett to beat all except the first three on your list, and even then it would be close.

Am i missing something? don't the top 16 players play for the spot and the top 3 (or 2) get the spot?
Why is everybody crying around about who gets the most votes, as if this would matter?

I don't really have a problem with placing Major and Scarlett up there with some of the best europeans, but Illusion, really? Based on what exactly..?

As long as it isn't Artosis I'll be happy. Still hold him accountable for our loss waiting so long to put in the zergs against July, when everyone knew his weakness was ZvZ.

At WCS NA IdrA wrecked Major. The second game in particular he made Major look like a low masters player. He beat Illusion at both WCS USA and NA.

People are just being ridiculous at this point.

That's not elitist, the hype train on Scarlett is going way to fast. She won 2 NA only tournaments and beat Hero in one series with latency.

Most of the WCS National tournaments were harder than WCS NA and the players are proven to be better.

Lets all be honest here, can we replace all the North Americans with more picks from Europe??

edit: no I'm not a european, I'm from Canada, I'd take anyone top 10 europe over the best play in north american. Idra/Scarlett? Come on guys, lets get serious here, lol, the only time they look good is when they play other north americans.

Most people did not read the entire post (ignoring the bold parts).

The title of the Poll is also slightly misleading

"Choose three players to represent Europe in the GSL World Championship"

Should be something like

"Choose three players to play in a 16 man bracket to fight for one of 3 spots to represent Europe in the GSL World Championship"

It's a showmatch. IPL is an NA organization, event is held in the US, viewership from NA will be significant, etc.

And of course, there are NA players than can take games off of top Koreans. Major has looked pretty solid recently, Scarlett has looked quite strong, and seemed a level above the rest of NA, Illusion has already beaten multiple Code S level players in LANS, etc.

I for one would love to see Illusion to play in this showmatch.

Why are people still voting for Sen, HuK, IdrA and Scarlett?

For gods sake people, they're already guaranteed a spot 100%. It's a complete waste of a vote. You're not affecting ANYTHING. Instead vote for someone like tgun who deserves to get Top 16 for this opportunity.

What are you talking about? Let people vote for whoever they want. If said person deserves a spot in the top 16, they will get it.

I'm saying if you vote for someone with thousands of votes, you're not affecting anything. You might as well flush the vote down the fucking toilet, because that's the level of importance it has.
