NICE, I love FBH, I hope he still does some sort of commentator ceremonies. Can't really think about FBH without thinking about his ceremonies lol, I love him to death. FBH fighting~!
Oh really? Did not expect this. Thought FBH would go pro again. Even if Samsung doesn't want him back, I could totally see him fitting in with Team MVP.
I welcome our new Korean commentator to the GOM studios. He seemed to be a very clever, hilarious personality in BW even outside of his ceremonies. I hope the Korean audience will get a kick out of his casting.
I don't know what to expect. I feel like his commentary could be really good if hes able to do a playful banter type style but I don't know if gom would allow that on the korean broadcast. too bad foreigners outside of korea won't get to experience his casting

are koreans not a fan of the banter style? never heard a cast, but are they full on artosis/apollo style or is there a bit of totalbiscuit/husky too? haha
It's great to see some one crossing the KeSPA-GOM blocs! FBH seems like a really cool guy and Im sure he can do well. He would easily have been one of my fav. bw-t's if his tvp wasn't so god damn awful...
Ha ha, that reminded me. When was the period he was slumping so bad that tvp actually was his best MU (at least statistically). Those were hard times indeed....
I wish GOM wouldn't block the live Korean stream for overseas viewers. Sometimes Wolfdor casts way too many events that I get Wolfdor fatigue and I just want a break from them for a few games.

If the pre-game show with Mr Chae and Engine is anything to go by, there's probably a lot of humour in the korean cast as well.
Everyone saying they won't be able to take him seriously after his ceremonies needs to remember that in order to do a ceremony first you have to win the game.

there is some banter, but for the most part (from my understanding) its scripted and rehearsed to release a very professional product
Firebathero, Ace, Keen, MC, John the Translator, and PSY need to go out on Stage during the GSTL Finals and do a Gangma Style performance. Then I would die happy.

Yay Honestly I'm just happy to see him staying involved. And you have to admit, there is a lot of rts knowledge there as well as great flavour commentary on the ex-BW players.

You should hear some of the old MBC commentaries, there's no equivalent in English SC2, the closest comparison would be Tobi Wan. (DotA 2 guy)
If his B.Net attack episode(subbed and on youtube for anyone interested) is any indication, FBH certainly has casting talent. The way he bantered seemlessly with the hosts while playing was very natural and entertaining. Here's hoping he keeps his charm while casting. I may not understand a lick of Korean, but as a Khan/FBH fan I wish nothing but the best for his future.
I was hoping he would get good at SC2 so we could see more celebrations but all the best for him in the new job. Apparently his English is good so it would be awesome if we got to see more of him.
They should hold Liquidbets like the sorts between the korean commentators on who's going to win the match and then do a glorious ceremony to gloat for the winner, thus we'll see FBH do his crotch dance multiple times a week! (unless he's bad at picking)
I wish I understood Korean, I always liked to hear them in BW even though I didn't understand. I fell in love what fast talking commentary style with excitement, Klazart style. If i'm not mistaking in BW they were always 3 to commentate.
I wish we would've see FBH Gangnam style ceremony in sc2, that could have been epic !
Man, with his progaming experience plus his craziness, he's gonna make GSTL even more AWESOME! Of course, I won't be able to understand what he says. LOL!
There would be a new rule during GSL After any match is finished FBH must make a victory dance ceremony Too bad nobody watch GSL or even the korean commentary T_T At least we got some fanservice here...
Being unfimiliar with the korean commentators, is this common or uncommon to have commentators with a KESPA professional background? I know Nal Ra was casting but wasnt he doing LoL?

Who cares? Korean Commentators are badass! lol
I don't really care, there's nothing wrong with it. I'm just curious because it does sound really badass to have commentators who played at the very highest level.

Pretty sure a bunch of korean commentators, current and former, are ex-pro's. Guys like Nal_ra and Kingdom used to cast together, you have guys like TheMarine and also Garimto used to cast a bit. It's really not that uncommon.
If we are lucky he will still make some of those amazing entrances/ceremonies... I'd watch the Korean stream to see him throw a bowl of rice at someone in their booth.

I believe OSL, MSL and Proleague all have legend class players in their casting crew before, some still in OSL and Proleague. It is pretty common, just like any other sports in any other country.
This would be exciting if I spoke Korean. Now I'm wondering if anyone's going to bother translating any of his casts. I mean, with people like Tastosis on the job, there isn't that much of a reason to translate casts.
This is a ploy by Gom to get foreigners to purchase their ultra pass or whatever gets you access to korean commentary. Scary thing is it could work on me 0.o
Dude was done, Ace rarely sent him out during Proleague.
Also, he doesn't do ceremonies anymore, he said in an interview that was when he was young, now he's matured. Although, Mr. Chae is one crazy dude, so who knows what'll happen.
On September 18 2012 21:10 Trasko wrote: Never heard this guy, is he good?
He was the best
Also, FBH was/is a damn good commentator. He is very good at talking on his feet and constantly bullshitting even while distracting things are going on. If you've ever seen the translated version of his Bnet Attack appearance, he answers questions and shit-talks the entire time he is playing without missing a beat.
This is pretty awesome; gratz to FBH. I'm just a little saddened that we don't get to see him owning up SC2 as a consequence, but it's cool how the early generation of eSports is growing up and getting longer term type of work in the industry.
I love FBH, SC2 needs more people like him. I hope some of his commentary can be translated into English at some point... I'm sure he'll be a very entertaining commentator.
I don't get why people are so pumped about this since we only have access to the english cast, it's like being happy of not being able to reach the sweetest candy.

Yes but knowing the existence of that candy makes life worth living for!

Well Korean vods are included in GOM tickets for quite some time now.
The God of ceremonies has arrived. FBH was the change he wanted to see in the gaming community. You'll notice many more Koreans perform them ever since he became so infamous for them. In my opinion it added some very necessary flare to the scene, and inspired me to bm everyone I meet on ladder.
