User was warned for this post Could somebody explain the context of this post? So, BlueTea is a girl. Destiny had and shared nude pictures of her with people. She found out and published the Skype log of that conversation, which isn't exactly flattering to Destiny, and a picture purporting to be of Destiny's junk, on his Twitter. Many people apparently feel that she's the villain of this story, for reasons which escape me. I think its because he only showed her naked pictures to 2 PEOPLE( as far as I know), and she leaks his dick on the ENTIRE internet. Once its out there, its out there. You can't get rid of it. Destiny (also as far as I know) didn't leak her naked pics on the internet after this. People seem to be forgetting this little tidbit while still calling him the bad guy in this situation. People seem to be forgetting that he publicly threatened her after. Come on. There's no moral high ground here. Moral high ground? You are aware that his 'threats' are totally legal and the usual course of action in such situations, right?
Yes, contacting someone's university is the standard response after you share their private correspondence with you. STANDARD.

You mean like on state of the game/inside the game where idra and incontrol called naniwa a 'sociopath'? Where's the reddit mob for that? I'm still waiting. Or yesterday's show where they publicly condemned Destiny's actions, thus telling 3000+ people what to think about the issue (a day before root lets him go)? Food for thought: if some of you people only care about tournament results, destiny and incontrol are basically even. How dare they say taking dick pics is wrong.
You missed the part where the same people calling Naniwa a sociopath because he didn't lick their boots at MLG are making lots of other moral declarations, and they have no credibility because of the first part of that sentence. But the thousands of bored teenagers on reddit watching the stream and e-mailing razer hang on to their every word because they like the same dubstep songs.

From what I can gather, this has all lead to Destiny going semi-underground. He'll stream, but he won't talk as much and he'll stop being active on forums.
Congratz people; you've just, effective immediately, removed the thing I loved the most about the SC scene. All this drama doesn't mean jack shit. Nothing that has happened here should have any impact on anything at all. The SC2 community is so busy legitimatizing itself as a sport and proper community that it has forgotten what all this is about. We all love Starcraft and should do that together. Things like this should be fun, not mindbogglingly painful.
We have so few entertaining people in this community, why the FUCK would we try so hard to 'kill' them? Sponsorship money talks, that's why Destiny's streaming right this instant, to as many people as he was at this time yesterday. It just doesn't say ROOT in his name. He's doing what he always does, and I'm still entertained.
Even though he's probably not financially harmed by this, I'm sure Steven really really wanted to help his friends build ROOT. It's got to suck for him.

Many people apparently feel that she's the villain of this story, for reasons which escape me. how come we never got to see her naked pictures? she put his dick on the internet, and he actually is a public figure. if we saw her pictures, people would forget about it in 2 weeks. this is something that will follow him long-term, on the other hand. so let's recap: he did exactly what now? shared a picture with his two friends in a private conversation. oh no. she did exactly what now? intruded on his privacy, then didn't like what she saw, so she hacked his skype and email, and posted his private parts on the internet. no big deal, right? that destiny really is a douchebag... Yes, clearly the problem here is that women can't be trusted to understand that slightly famous people are more important than they are.
please adress the issue you raise, or don't reply at all.
you asked how so many people feel the girl is the villain? hacking someone's skype and reading private logs, not liking what you read between a conversation that only 3 close friends saw, and then changing email/skype password out of revenge and posting someone's penis on the internet for whole world to see - pretty much gives you the answer. you don't have to like it, though...

No, he got into "trouble" because he brought High-School level drama into a sponsored team of grown-ups, and the esports scene.
You Destiny fanboys sure are naive and good at playing ignorant.

He is immature for his age. You have to ask yourself what a father in his mid-20's is doing corresponding with a 15 year old girl, period.

Right, and it's not just because you're an angry destiny fan looking for someone to blame.
Stop being ridiculous. The EG guys have nothing to do with this, no matter how much you try and make it so they do.

Destiny actually wanted to leave because he couldn't trust his teammates anymore. I mean it was kind of a dick move from one of his "friends" to give the logs to her. This goes against what CatZ says is a team built on friendship.
Think about it. She has his passwords. She can access Skype at any time.
Isn't it obvious? There was no leak. She most likely checks Steven's skype chat regularly and then was horrified by what was a private conversation.

Honestly, destiny is not the type of role model sc2 needs. Yes I admit, sometimes he is funny, and he is most definitely an intelligent person but still not a good role model to show what your sponsors are investing money in.
|
As time goes on destiny just seems like more and more of a stereotypical nerd sitting in his basement hating women and yelling racial slurs when he enters nerd rage after losing.
He acted like a dick and so did she.
I have never shown my buddies a picture of any of my gfs past and present even through the ugliest break ups. Idk why the fuck you would. One slip like this and no more nudes if the girl knows your group of friends D:

I love Destiny as a person, his personality is very similar to mine so I naturally root for him but this is a good decision for Root. Although Destiny stands up for what he believes, drama will follow him for his entire career.
I don't think Destiny will receive a offer to join another team until late Heart of the Swarm or if he starts producing amazing results.

I'm basing my "immaturity" allegations towards him off of this event that is reminiscent of something 16 year old high-school students do.. Along with past drama and bullshit he has stirred up. Its really not all that difficult to come to this conclusion.

They didn't get destiny kicked off root, but they are just as unprofessional. My point is that because they say the awful things they do on "gaming talk shows" it goes unnoticed by the reddit pitchfork crowd. Seriously, where is the whiny reddit page about calling naniwa a sociopath?

Actually, that person is an infallible protector of politically correct watered-down esports. Sorry, dude.

This is what happens when you call a girl ugly and give her your passwords. You Root boys should have practicing instead of playing with your pricks.

Next time simply talk with stream off and dont chat about stuff like this. This way there would have been nothing to be "found out" by the angry girl... This action was kinda stupid. Ppl should realize that its not the safest way to talk shit with friends when thousands of ppl are following your footsteps in the Internet cause u are a little famous out there...

i actually hate Destiny, but he got into trouble for a PRIVATE conversation with his friends. It's not like he made the pic or convo public.
