Being wishy-washy doesn't get you far, especially if you're trying to build something from the ground up. Admittedly, they could, and should've eased up after establishing themselves (and esports) in Korea, but I guess they just didn't want to fix something that wasn't broken (to them). I certainly do hope they go through reforms and give more voice & power to the players, as well as being more open in general. However, saying they need to disappear entirely is ignorant and over the top. Well, I think many of us are under the assumption that KeSPA is an organization that is unable and unwilling to change. If that is indeed the case, then having it disappear and a more reasonable organization to replace it might not be a bad thing. Regime change happens all the time. Of course, they can prove us wrong and becomes a more reasonable organization, due to pressure coming from eSF, Blizz, and foreign teams (that has the right purchasing powers, at least).

Many things have happened over the last week and I believe many overseas fans have been following the news regarding the current situation in Korean e-Sports. We have been looking over the comments on various community sites regarding this incident and were very moved by the many fans who left encouraging messages for GOMTV on Twitter and community boards. We promise to repay your kindness with great content. GSL Season 4 will begin today with the Up&Down matches. We hope all of you are looking forward to a series of exciting matches that will determine who will participate in this season’s Code S tournament. In contrast to the unfortunate news we had to announce last week, we are happy that today we will be able to greet you with some good news. The Korean e-Sports association (KeSPA) has decided to participate in the GSL Season 4 Code A qualifiers and we have already received the list of participants. Because of this, there will be an adjustment to the schedule for the GSL Season 4 Code A qualifiers: - Old date: September 5th/6th -> New date: September 12th/13th - Location: Intel e-Sports Stadium, Shindorim Additionally, we are currently in discussion regarding Code A and Code S seeds for KeSPA players. GOMTV is planning to provide 2 Code S seeds as well as 4 Code A seeds for players of the Korean e-Sports association. We will update you with the list of seeded players as soon as they are confirmed. We have some additional news regarding the Up&Down matches. Because of a severe typhoon warning, the return of the Korean players who were attending MLG will be delayed. It is possible that we will have to adjust the schedule for the Up&Down matches on short notice, due to some players not being able to attend because of this natural disaster. We are currently in contact with the players in the US and will revise the schedule accordingly, if needed. Many things have happened over the last week. We would like to once again thank all e-Sports fans for their tremendous support and words of encouragement for GOMTV. This is the beginning. We will strive to provide all of you with the best content possible. See you at the GSL. Thank you. Fuck yeah!! I guess Roro is a guarenteed Code S seed, the second beïng Reality/Hero or Jaedong (maybe Effort). Jaedong and Effort will surely get a Code A spot. What are you guy's thought's on who is getting the seeds?

The KESPA players are still underneath the same rules they were before, but KESPA gave in and let them join the GSL other than that nothing has changed. Also remember that KESPA has more than one card to play. In a year (shorter now) they can begin to attempt to take away ESF players. If you did not follow you did not play bw anymore... And they tried same now. Kespa send players or they send them not. Kespa never ask players if they want to play or not ... In the field of competitive gaming. Where KESPA players even some of the scrubs get paid decently, there are sacrifices to be made. Sure, they did have a bit more control over their lives than most people would want, but at the end of the day they're playing video games and making money at the same time. Sure now, some of them can obtain the freedom of gaming without the stress of being ridden by KESPA, by streaming which weakens your gameplay, or joining a foreign team, which may limit your travel and still weaken your gameplay. Also this thing that they get paid to do was invented by KESPA, so I can see why KESPA would do the things they do to Blizzard and GOM who are just recently joining the bandwagon. At those two organizations, they don't really help the scene as much as people think. Sure GOM gives people freedom to be exposed to the world, but GOM + ESF don't pay people a salary. And Blizzard oh I can count the way they fucked up the game. No LAN, shit chat, shit ladder concepts, no viewing replay with others, patching on a whim. It was better when they weren't involved. On your first comment, I suspect at least a few teams on eSF are getting salaries as well. LG-IM is obviously a given, and ST/MVP have been acting in ways which suggests that they have money. I would be surprised if FXO does not have money. If anything, the only team that's probably broke right now is NSH. As for Blizzard stepping it, I personally think they did. The announcement from KeSPA and on Blizzard's website is too well timed.
