If they do that, then the conditions required by ESF are met and OSL will go on just as planned. That would be a rather suicidal move by Kespa. By definition teams not involved with PL playoffs are the teams with weakest players. Kespa cannot have its players play bad in GSL. Not really. I don't consider KT bad. The teams are so ridiculously close (except for ACE) that there's no huge gap in skill between them.

This was seriously the closest Proleague season I can think of...it LITERALLY came down to the last match to determine the 4th place spot, and all the top 4 teams have the same match score.

Im getting tired of all this drama

Wrong thread my brother.

Not really, I'm reinforcing the idea that "just because your team didn't make playoffs doesn't mean your players are bad?"

Fair enough. However, I still think the PL is a total farce this season.

I would be inclined to agree if it weren't for the fact that this Proleague is Team 8's big chance to get a sponsor.

^ just speculation
I agree, i think season 4 is not the main issue, ESF will be willing to compromise and give the KESPA players season 4 off on the condition that from then on they compete in every GSL.

You should have seen my Fantasy team last season. You'd laugh.

Things don't really work that way though. It's one thing to say it. It's another thing to sign off on something like that and even then. There's no such contract with a term like that. There are concessions.

Why not? I not a lawyer so I am actually asking, is it not possible that ESF and KESPA sign a contract stating that each of their teams players will compete in both leagues?

What? It wouldn't be hard to set up a contract in which Kespa agrees to send x amount of Kespa contracted players to GOM events for x amount of time. For instance, they could sign a three year agreement. And if they back out, or decide not to re-sign in three years, Blizzard could swoop in and do something.

How I understand it, Kespa and Blizzard are like sworn mortal enemies. They are merely cooperating now out of business interests. The less intervention there is from Blizzard on this matter, perceived or actual, the more change Kespa will cooperate.

Blizzard will need to intervene. Sooner or later.

I think this can be settled among the Koreans.

If GOM pulls GSL players out of the OSL Ro16, I will not buy a ticket until Kespa players are in the GSL. Sure they want to maintain the upper hand, but you can't just ruin an OSL because of it. They're protecting their interests first, and the fans' interest last. Say what you will about Kespa, but without top Kespa players and top sponsors like adidas and samsung, I'm not watching SC2 anymore unless it suddenly becomes a much better game.

not this shit again..

Wow. It's really happening again! lol, and here i thought it'd be a huge joke. This is bad for blizzard. Why can't they negotiate some sort of profit-sharing arrangement jesus... Kespa and GOM are struggling for dominance and better positions (and being selfish asses in the mean time)

You do know that in bold it says that ESF pulled the players out, not GOM, it was the players decisions to ditch the OSL until KeSPA stop being retards. Not buying a ticket from GOM because of this is silly.
