Without them we (foreigners) really don't have any say in this matter.

Esf players will get more sour reactions from Korean fans, because the string pullers want to try and prove a point. Lovely over reaction by the ESF. So your advice to them would be allow KeSPA to take over and kill GOM slowly? I really hope Korean fans aren't so stupid to think the blame is any of this is on the players.

even though i will never support kespa ever again, i do make the distinction between the suits and the players. this is all killing sc2 in korea, no matter how corny it sounds. while the children fight, there's a another huge fish in the pool that's enjoying it all (LoL). so sad.

That aside, from an outsider perspective it will be really interesting to see who is going to win this power struggle. If Kespa rains suppreme one more time, their power over the Starcraft scene will just remain absolute. Which could be pretty problematic for us internation viewers, since they have never shown much intention to cooperate with the foreign scene. Even with the show tournament stunt during MLG, I am not convinced that they will care much for the non-korean scene. At least ESP and GOM have established a reasonable fanbase over the last two years, so maybe they can fight back. But Kespa is so strong and so much more money is in their teams and companies. Ah, this is going to be interesting.

Either way, lose-lose for everyone. It is maybe lose-lose , but I think they want to show KeSPa that can't do whatever it wants without knowing what the players want.

I'm glad to hear GOM is getting support again ![]() Also, in terms of the Naniwa incident - To be fair, they did give Naniwa a seed again (though they did sort of screwed MLG because one of the perks of participating in MLG was a Code S seed). Also, remember GOM did it mainly due to netizen reaction (most players were really against Naniwa, so GOM practically had to do what they did). Anyway, I said this before but KeSPA's superstars are still only superstars in BW and not in SC2 (they haven't proven themselves yet). Plus, remember that KeSPA with BW didn't prevent sponsors from losing interest and viewers from declining (and watch Kpop instead). SC2 is less popular than BW in South Korea (in terms of viewers), so this isn't going to help KeSPA much. KeSPA can't back on their players anymore to do whatever they want.

Now I think either OGN and/or Blizzard will pressure KeSPA pretty hard. Hopefully this will all be resolved when the next season starts.

Just be fine if KESPA just go back to BW and leave SC2 alone. Leave a toys for SC2 guys, no need to burry SC2 with this ![]() I know, I know... there is no going back ![]() On August 24 2012 20:02 pdd wrote: You clearly have not been watching WCS as of late.
