Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

Afaik he has stated several times that he plays SC2 for money. He was going to quit but he started earning so well that he decided to keep playing. If he wants to be a doctor that's prolly 6-7 years of education, a little winnings and EG salary goes a long way.

he should join CJ Entus, KT Rolster or SKT1 and I am dead serious with that! that kind of caliber will improve him and has the money to pay him very well.

Huh ? Best offer is subjective. If his choice won't make him grow as a player, i don't see why people would keep rooting for him as a player. It's a capitalistic setting we're talking about here. For his skill and ability to produce results, the best offer is the best contract. I can just reverse the argument and say that his staying at Mill isn't as good as a training environment offered at EG. Joining EG could open a lot more doors for Stephano. Even with the "shoddy" performances by EG players, they have far better results than Mill players (excluding Stephano). No you can't, since Korean teams pay less and have better practice enviroment, there goes your argument. He doesn't because of cash, not to grow as a player, but it is his choice, not ours, and i respect it, but i don't root for players if their motivation isn't the e-sport and get better as a player, but earn enough cash to retire.
Korean teams pay less and offer a better practice environment which in return gives more prize money because of training. EG might not give a better practice environment but instead they pay better. And who says EG won't send Stephano to a Korean training house or let him stay in Europe to practice. Let's be real here you're just guessing around while I'm suggesting that a player taking a better offer (in terms of finance) is a good thing.

EG is Starcraft's equivalent to Manchester city.
Don't blame him doing it though as he's going to be getting a shit load of money and he has said this year or next year (Can't remember which) will most likely be his last year of Starcraft before moving to medical school that's really damn expensive.
Curious to see if he still performs well as the best foreigner around at the moment or if he starts slumping.

So what you're saying is that the only good Europeans are Demuslim and Stephano.
Right, confirmed by this eurobro.

Surely you have some kind of respect for him though as an awesome player? I atleast can't say I like him much nor zerg, but he's pretty damn good tbh and I'd hate to see his skill lvl drop/stagnant as is the EG curse
Obviously he's a good player, but I think he's overhyped and I don't like his attitude. So really he's a perfect fit for EG.

No im all for people "hating" (to strong word) disliking other teams, everyone has their favorites, but when people start throwing in nasty comments it becomes stupid. People saying Stephano is a "money grabber" and "stupid" for doing what he might not of even done yet is quite silly.

what did he do that was unethical?

Serious lols at people who think the team you play for even matters that much in sc2. SC2 is NOT A TEAM SPORT. Until someone can explain how a player being given oppurtunities and the money they deserve is bad, you should all seriously shut up. Thread should be deleted.

just put whatever comes to your mind, you will eventually get a page with their photos
Btw i think that Mana might eventually sign up with EG, as he will be going Korea soon?

Thats why theres proleague, GSTL, IPLTAC, EG Masters cup, etc.
Sure, SC2 teams are very different than traditional sports, but how can you say teams are of no importance.

Hm, I'd be lying if I said I was surprised. Whenever a player does really well on ladder/in tournaments ... -> guarenteed contract with EG, which is probably the highest paying team around right now.

I think we have a winner for the worst post of this thread. Care to back up any of these amazing claims? He hit the nail on the head besides with the manipulative part. could u explain? Because it's the same for any privatized business. They look out for their own personal interest and not for consumer. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't give 2 shits because all businesses are the same, but I don't really see how the original poster was wrong in what he said. People who idolize EG as company make me sick to be honest, I don't mind if they idolize the player base though. thats fair, but i think ppl could respect eg more for how well they treat their players at least. Did I say it was bad move for Stephano ? Probably the best move he could make.

Bye bye MillStephano
Welcome to Liquid' Stephano ?

EG would be a great move for him. He wants to play in Code S. Thats how he needs to do it.

Incontrol said it (twice), huk said it, hotbid hinted at it, i think even idra said it already. Is this a big news ?

Because there are REAL team esports like cs and dota where team chemsitry and strengths/weaknesses between the players play a huge role INGAME. 1000x more important than starcraft teams. Look at Stephano for example, he is on Millenium, who do they have that he has benefited from when winning all these tournies by himself? nobody.
