Think before you post. This should go without saying, there are so many people making absolutely idiotic comments in this thread. If you have nothing constructive to say, please don't say anything. |

Huh ? Best offer is subjective. If his choice won't make him grow as a player, i don't see why people would keep rooting for him as a player. It's a capitalistic setting we're talking about here. For his skill and ability to produce results, the best offer is the best contract. I can just reverse the argument and say that his staying at Mill isn't as good as a training environment offered at EG. Joining EG could open a lot more doors for Stephano. Even with the "shoddy" performances by EG players, they have far better results than Mill players (excluding Stephano).
No you can't, since Korean teams pay less and have better practice enviroment, there goes your argument. He doesn't because of cash, not to grow as a player, but it is his choice, not ours, and i respect it, but i don't root for players if their motivation isn't the e-sport and get better as a player, but earn enough cash to retire.

ROOTstephano?
I would actually prefer to see Stephano join just about any other team except EG. Maybe even a korean team.

Hypocritical: Fire Orb for hateful remarks. Don't fire Idra for the same thing. Shady: Allegations by TSL coach that they didn't even talk to him before taking Puma. Manipulative: For some reason Idra, huk, and incontrol go out of their way to talk down about Naniwa because he's basically the only top foreigner to not embrace them. Money to buy everyone: Puma, JYP, Huk, Thorzain, and now maybe Stephano.

Of course he can't. Shady? What deals have they made that are shady? I get the having lots of money part, but I somewhat doubt they could buy everyone. As for hypocritical part, I have no idea what he is referencing. People just seem to love to make big controversial statements with literally 0 evidence or reasoning.

He is the best player outside of Korea maybe even top 3 in the world if he ZvZ was better and EG buy the best players. Ive been pretty frustrated by the lack of results though recently as a fan of EG. Like they have had HuK who was winning everything before he joined, Puma who is very good but seems to have a real on and off form always, JYP who ive never thought was a tournament winner even though he is really solid.
Then there is Idra, Machine and Incontrol who I really don't know why I keep hoping that they are going to do well at events, in particular Idra who ive just been hoping so much to do well but he just never lives up to that hope. As for Demuslim im actually pretty happy with how he improved the past while like every time I write him off he seems to surprise me like when he beat nestea a while back so hopefully he keeps getting better.
I hope that Thorzain, Suppy and Stephano can start to win stuff for EG because the long time players on the team aren't really giving me anything to cheer for. wow there. You went from best foreigner to top 3 in the world? Let him join a GSL or OS2L then to see.

Its not just starcraft, its any sport. I'm happy for Stephano as a person, he is going to a team with more financial support and will be making far more money, which is always good.
But as a fan, I'm disappointed. Like Lebron James leaving Cleveland, everyone understands why it happens but fans are still crushed to see their favorite player abandon their favorite team for something better. It hurts to see someone I support so much join a team I dislike so much.

I hope Stephano has sufficient practice partners in EG D=. I can just imagine him just smashing both Huk and Idra at the same time in a 1v2 but still not getting good enough practice. T_T I know he ladders a lot but still!

And like most of the great players that go to EG they become mediocre overnight. EG is a beer and lifestyle clan. Stephano should fit right in. I just wouldn't expect him to post results. jyp got third? place at hsc and got back to code s under eg, puma had most of his foreign dominance under eg, huk won mlg after joining eg thorzain won wcs sweden after joining

Because it's the same for any privatized business. They look out for their own personal interest and not for consumer. Don't get me wrong, I couldn't give 2 shits because all businesses are the same, but I don't really see how the original poster was wrong in what he said.
People who idolize EG as company make me sick to be honest, I don't mind if they idolize the player base though.

This is pretty cool I think. Good luck to you stephano.

They dislike Naniwa, so does a ton of the community, I don't condone their actions in any way, but its not EG making the remarks, its their players. It's like saying TL endorse the Elephant in the Room article.
Puma, JYP, Huk, Thorzain and Stephano doesn't equal everyone. It's not /that/ much of a ridiculous lineup either.

there we have it, glhf indeed, can't wrap my head around liking that team but i'll still like the player.

On the other hand, this guaranteed money will kill his hunger and decrease the motivation to win further tourneys. More time for drinks yo. I personally will hate it when he joins EG, cuz in the past not one player improved after joining EG and that is bad trademark for a team. jyp improved, puma began his foreign dominance after joining eg idra rose and fell on eg machine/incontrol/lzgamer never put anything up anyway. i dont really see ur point JYP did not improve when you check results. Puma won NASL S1 before joining EG and after he joined there was no significant skilljump visible. (he is talented though) IdrA had his moments, but overall he became weaker and weaker. Demuslim + Thorzain are good, but fail win big stuff in the EG jersey. ( still <3 thorre) the rest of the Team is irrelevant when talking about highest level of competition. Oh, I almost forgot: Huk. Sadly, he became kinda invisble too. Fact is, none of the players improved in a way that the audience could see their "level up".

Its not like he trained a lot with the other Millennium players. just because you're on a team, doesn't mean you are forced to practise with them yet alone exclusively

It's not about whether or not Idra made racist remarks recently, the fact is he made racist remarks while under EGs reign.
