Carlsbad, Calif. – 20th August, 2012 – Razer™, one of the world’s pioneering supporters of e-Sports, and FXOpen e-Sports, one of Europe's premier SC2 teams, will come together to complete what was started over year ago when Razer partnered with FXOpen's Korean team.

FXOpen have a strong presence in Eastern Europe, and Europe itself, having assembled one of the most promising rosters to emerge from the region; as evidenced by FXO LoWeLy and FXO Babyknight's recent victories in the World Championship Series Danish and Eastern European qualifiers.

“Razer has had much success with players from Eastern Europe in the past, such as with Kas of Team Empire and Cypher of Quake fame,” said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President, Razer USA. “There can be no doubt that this area of Europe is a veritable stomping grounds for future e-Sport champions, Razer believes that FXOpen will be the next great powerhouse to emerge from that area.”

As well as representing Team Razer, FXOpen's resident Terran Strelok will be making regular contributions to the Razer Academy, bringing with him the wealth of Starcraft knowledge that he's been cultivating for the past decade, as FXO manager Artem 'FXO.Fairon' Bykov points out,

“Terrans are too weak? It is not a problem anymore – with educational livestreams from our team captain FXO.Strelok, who has an incredible experience in StarCraft coaching since SC: BW, you will find all the answers to your questions about TvP and TvZ matchups.”

Expressing his thoughts on becoming part of Team Razer, Fairon said “...finally, both FXOpen teams (Korea and Europe) are members of Team Razer! We will do our best to promote Razer and the e-Sports industry.”

Strelok also expressed his thoughts on joining Team Razer, “I'm truly glad to be partners with Razer because it will open a new horizon of opportunities for our team. I can’t wait to start training hard with my new equipment.”

About FXOpen e-Sports:
One does not simply create a successful StarCraft 2 team in few years. But we did. Less than 2 years ago FXOpen Company invested money in a small Starcraft team from Russia. Since then, this small group of friends who played Starcraft for fun, turned into a powerful team named FXOpen e-Sports with the best players from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in it. They placed 1st in two biggest Russian StarCraft 2 team leagues in a row (iP Gaming League Season 1, 2), got 2nd at 4PL SC2 Team League, 3rd at 4PL SC2 Team League Season 2, participated in the biggest non-Korean team league IPL TAC Season 3, beating strongest Korean teams on their way. Players of FXOpen e-Sports won different tournaments all over the world, and they are not going to stop! Next few months you can watch them playing at IPTL, NASL, iP Gaming Team League Season 4 and other Starcraft leagues.

Interesting that it's only for the european part, guess fxo is putting a lot more money into the korea part, thus the eu part needs another sponsor.

Gratz to anyone who benefits! But honestly I don't really like hardware sponsors that much as imo neither razer nor steelseries are the best products for pro gamers atm, yet it forces the players to use them (atleast at events), but that may just be me preferring brown switches over black/blue.

I honestly do not know why these big companies don't use brown switches- they seem to be the most comfortable and best overall to me.
But gratz to FXO on a new sponsor, its been a while since a team has gotten a new sponsor!
