Just because a player uses them doesn't mean he has no skill. Fair enough if this player does cheese EVERY game in a BO series, but 1 in 3 seems like the smart choice to me...especially if youre playing up against a greedy player. This is about naniwa. Plus, idra's not talking about other players, he's saying how he feels he coulda done a lot better if he knew how to deal with the cheeses better.

lol@ the swedes coming out to blindly defend him though, gotta love it, the swedish population is like 5% of TL but 50% of the posts in naniwa threads. Well the swedish only stream of WCS had +6k viewers just 2-3 days ago so I think we might be more then 5%, but yeah many none swedish people find it hard to accept Naniwas personality. I respect a person that completely dedicates himself towards his goal without taking other aspects into account. I dunno if this is connected to being Swedish but I can relate myself to Naniwa, more so then for instance Sase. Although I understand that people find Naniwa odd, I do not have much empathy for people that keep whining about Naniwas "culturally inappropriate" behavior. Some people are not very social, that includes Naniwa, that means he does stuff that seems odd to most people. Cause he is dedicated to be the best in the world at what he does and other things are secondary. This seems to be really hard for people to accept. I even think it is entertaining to have a personality like Naniwa in SC2. Would be pretty boring if everyone was like TLO or Sheet imo. Sorry but no. This not social excuse really has to go. If you are not social you would simply not talk at all or just sound akward. Naniwa however has attitude problems, insulting tournaments on their very own stage, throwing a game cause he didn't find it important or just this week, balance whining cause he lost in a tournament during the tournament itself. It's great that he is dedicated but if you don't know how to act (aka not like an ass) sooner or later it will backfire. Have you heard of Wayne Rooney? Have you ever heard of Terrel Owens, Randy Moss, or Chad Johnson?
Not me, they probably play in a sport that only Americans watch? Compared to PL who have the eyes of the world.

This is the guy who accepted being kicked out of his parents house in order to continue trying to become a pro-gamer, and seems to care more about winning than contracts or teams. If his main focuses right now are gsls and winning, it might make a lot of sense for him to sign with a Korean team. That being said it's Naniwa and you never know where he'll end up. I don't think Naniwa are intrested in a team that can't afford to send him to MLG/dreamhack and so on. He skipped the last few MLG´s and I think, he attendet the Dreamhacks just because they are in sweden - and the next ones are in Spain/Romania. How does that have anything to do with what I just said?

How does that have anything to do with what I just said? It's pretty related because, as he said, Naniwa didn't require the resources to do what you said he would most likely want - the ability to participate in worldwide tournaments. He stayed put and kept practicing for GSL; that doesn't take a whole lot of travel money.
Though it all depends on who he ends up with and what his long-term goals are. He seems to focus a lot on the top-tier tournament (GSL), but that could always change.

No. No joke. Psychoanalysis is practiced by those who follow the teachings of Freud and pals. They are sometimes referred to as psychoanalysts and proper psychologists would have nothing to do with that sort of crackpot/pipe science.

Everyone who thinks Prime will pick him up is rather stupid...they' have four GSL champions, why would they pick a foreigner who is obviously at his peak and doesn't show any potential to improve?
I believe he'll become a free agent(something we begin to see more and more) and will probably stay in Mana's house in the near future.

Ermmm, no team has yet to have four GSL champions, especially not Prime...........
Who are you to say that NaNiwa is at his peak? A repeat performance of RO8 at GSL is not a peak, especially when he nearly beat DRG with a score of 3-2. It is far too early to state a player's peak, especially at GSL.

well, didn't read all of it yet but as expected this thread is turning out hilarious

If I were to guess I'd say he'll join a korean team.
edit: just saw the ICA news..... Oh my f:in god that's so awsome!

Clearly humor is lost on some people. Also, where did the other guy get the idea of me using what people write about him as the basis I would use to analyze him? Most of us have seen him play and have also heard what other pro SC2 players say about him. If you are going to make a personal attack on me at least pay attention to the fact that there's a lot of information out there and not just what people write on TL.
