Wonder why he left, there can't be many teams interested in someone with his personality & history.

wow.... i really really didnt see this coming, im assuming sase and him have a plan or something... crazy news

There's pretty much zero chance of him joining a Korean team, so one of the European teams is a likely bet. Fnatic, Millenium, Mouz, Acer(pretty sure they're European), etc. One of those. i still don't understand WHY he left Quantic though.

Makes it to the Ro8 two seasons in a row taking DRG to game 5, yet he can't make it through Code A??
Something doesn't sound right there.

Acer is a good guess also imo.

oh and the first part is kind of hard to swallow as well unless you're suggesting code A is harder than code S these days, in which case i should really get back to watching code A games :o

other than the whole wonder where he's going thing, it's impressive how quantic's management is willing to give him the kind of freedom to leave if he isn't feeling like it

This is quite shocking and unexpected news. I am quite curious to see what Naniwa plans to do since he was the one that requested the release.

Something doesn't sound right there. Well his logic makes sense if you think a bit. If he never got the seed would we have seen him in those 2 GSL code S top8? Nobody knows since it wasn't like that it happened. Alltough you can play this silly game for everything

People keep saying MC has an issue with Nani.. Didn't seem like MC had a problem when he thanked Naniwa for congratulating him

MC has publicly stated that he doesn't like Nani because he considers him very BM. And of course he would thank Nani cause if he didn't that would be BM.

He tweeted just the other day that he'd just returned home to Sweden, so I doubt a Korean team is really an option at this stage.

Top 5 in terms of skill? Absolutely. Top 5 most valuable? Definitely not. He doesn't travel much to foreign tournaments. He does average/poorly when he does travel. He doesn't have that good of an attitude. He doesn't really stream. He doesn't cast or contribute to the community. And a hell of a lot of people hate him, pros and koreans included. Plus the cons involved when dishing out the money for a foreign player in the GSL when you are a foreign team with foreign sponsors.
Considering all of those factors, I'd say he's one of the least valuable top players out there. The only draw for him being the possibility of being the first foreigner to win a GSL, which would be rather huge for any team and sponsor, regardless of where the sponsors are located.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure MC stated that a long time ago.. MC also praised Nani's new build vs Zerg in the same tweet.

god.. Imagine if he went to EG lol Suppy/idra/naniwa in one room, who gets out alive? lol

Didn't DRG need a seed to get into Code S? It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly, he won a seed through an MLG. Not that DRG doesn't deserve Code S, but discounting Naniwa's achievements in Code S because of a seed is pretty lame.

People are surprised? O_o
