Mvp has trouble practicing because of his injury, and it affects the quality of his play. His lack of motivation is purely because of his injury. It's completely different.

I really cant blame someone who is injured for not being as passionate while injured as he was when he could practice pain-free.

Are you referring to WoL as the best RTS ever? If so, that's ridiculous. If you mean BW, very few people remain from those who created that. And if you think having BW as a template is a sure sign of success, just look at how WoL turned out. I was very intentinoally referring to sc2 because I have no idea who is still on that team from BW nor did it really matter that much. Wait a minute you were actually referring to SC2??? Best RTS ever?? I think they did a good job competing for the worst RTS ever slot. Unfortunately, there are 2 or 3 game that were worse than SC2. But it is close, very close.

Interesting lead, but I doubt it's true considering the tweets that were made after the 'incident'.

I can understand Mvp's situation because I have also been suffering from injuries. Right now I have a mallet finger in a splint as well as a sprained index finger. I originally stopped playing a long time ago because of two fractured fingers. Being injured just sucks for motivation, and even after the injury, trying to get back after falling far behind (while still hesitant to exert yourself too much because of injury trauma) can be a daunting task.

Oh... I can see why MMA is so frustrated. when I was at high school, I shared a room (pretty big enough) with 3 other
boys and I really hated it. Now imagine him being with like 13 members of the team where you have to be stuck in a
crampy place to play starcraft 2. Im sure he could endure it when he was winning lots of money, but now the situation
is a bit different no wonder he wanted to take a break . I hope he regains his passion though.

Pretty sure crank and MMA are in love and staying in same house. he talks about "cheer for MMA today" "Ok fine, MMA and me fine" From the vod at 2:50:20 someone asks "crank + eve = ♥" he responds sarcastically "eve kkkkkkkkkkkkkk" "I like MMA personality +_+"
heres a list of some of the things he says: + Show Spoiler + "I don't play sc2 for 10 days" "rest time" "why you and mma out of the house" "mma and me no comment sorry" - sounds like they are living together atm "mma personality" "veryverygood" "this place secret house" "i can't show my face" he begins to write: "now slayers", but deletes and replaces with "no comment" "I don't play sc2 for 10 days" "I don't want to play sc2" "Now I want to play sc2" "but low level" after someone asks do you not enjoy it? he begins to write "don't funny" and deletes "Now like it" "MMA too" "cheer for MMA today" "Ok fine, MMA and me fine" he reveals a skype convo for a moment it says "no team house" "no team" "I don't want to say anything" "i just want to game" "before i have many stress" "my head so sick" someone talks about his funding for going to ipl - "he is still funded by slayers" Crank corrects "no ipl pay" when asked if he will play gstl finals he begins typing "I don't know" someone asks crank + eve = ♥ he responds sarcastically "eve kkkkkkkkkkkkkk" I like MMA personality +_+ he doesent say much else relevent
It doesn't imply at all that he lost his passion. Just that they are stressed and tired of being in the slayers house. I think he still wants to play sc2 and they are all OK now. As MMA's previous statement, people shoulden't be worried about him, hes fine now, he just didn't like the time in slayers.
For the record most of the stuff in the OP is not what crank actually said, just what he got from it. You can't rely on that info.

Apologies for going off topic, but I haven't actually heard anything about this. Anyone know what's up with MVP/has a link to something relevant?
EDIT: Read above post, got it now..

You mean one of the best (probably not THE best though) RTS game ever made? And the thing that basically started e-sports going "big" outside of Korea? Probably also RTS with most profit? Imo it turned out just fine.

Or no one knows for sure because of Crank's english? see my post page 5 Ah, thanks! Hm...that's weird, seems that the OP may have been a partial misinterpretation or a specific conclusion drawn from unclear statements...definitely doesn't really bring closure to this whole issue, one would think. op heard from a friend, not the most reliable interpretation haha

I understand that you're angry about SC2 being more successful than Red Alert 2 and CnC and Age of Empires but please, keep it out of this thread.

A month ago he seemed very motivated and straight forward about what he wanted when he was interviewed by Rachel for CSN. "2 years, only game no girls" doesn't sound something someone who lost motivation and just slacks would say.
I wonder if it is because of the patch or if there is something like the team atmosphere not being as great anymore etc that changed it. Hope it turns out good for him soon. :/ Uh, someone saying the bolded statement sounds like they yearn for a bit of a relationship/real life time to me. A handsome young man stuck in a dorm with other boys all day - Don't have to explain why he'd want to move out to me. While he was winning a lot it was probably enough, but running in the middle of the Code S pack may not be enough to offset his lack of social opportunities. Other older, strong players like Nestea/MVP don't live in the team dorms, I could imagine MMA feeling like he deserves a longer leash. Hard to bring a girl back home when there are 15 other starcraft gamers running around in their pajamas. You don't have to "lose your passion" to want a little private space/social life.
The thing is you can not compare teams, specialy not if: 1. MVP/Nestea are cofounders of IM. 2. MVP/Nestea never lived in the IM house, with success they proved they did not need to. 3. Every team had different rules, MMA knew them and signed a contract willingly.
I can't even imagine how hard it must be though to not have a private life, i think you are 100% correct in that. I just don't think you can pull MVP/Nestea situation into this.

Probably just frustrated with the situation T are in nowadays. Maybe he should join the emperor for a temporary break.

starcraft 2 is way more successful and definitly way more balanced and controlled than other popular rts games. probably top 5 at least.
