Maybe him joining a foreign team and going to more events would reignite that passion, iono. Hope he doesn't quit.

I'm confused. Are you referring to WoL as the best RTS ever? If so, that's ridiculous. If you mean BW, very few people remain from those who created that. And if you think having BW as a template is a sure sign of success, just look at how WoL turned out.

Cranks message didnt really say anything about MMA to be honest....it is only about telling people to cheer for him tonight vs violet... So, I still dont understand. Is this simply misinterpretation or MMA truly is losing his passion?

Ah, thanks! Hm...that's weird, seems that the OP may have been a partial misinterpretation or a specific conclusion drawn from unclear statements...definitely doesn't really bring closure to this whole issue, one would think.

A month ago he seemed very motivated and straight forward about what he wanted when he was interviewed by Rachel for CSN. "2 years, only game no girls" doesn't sound something someone who lost motivation and just slacks would say. I wonder if it is because of the patch or if there is something like the team atmosphere not being as great anymore etc that changed it. Hope it turns out good for him soon. :/ Uh, someone saying the bolded statement sounds like they yearn for a bit of a relationship/real life time to me. A handsome young man stuck in a dorm with other boys all day - Don't have to explain why he'd want to move out to me. While he was winning a lot it was probably enough, but running in the middle of the Code S pack may not be enough to offset his lack of social opportunities. Other older, strong players like Nestea/MVP don't live in the team dorms, I could imagine MMA feeling like he deserves a longer leash. Hard to bring a girl back home when there are 15 other starcraft gamers running around in their pajamas. You don't have to "lose your passion" to want a little private space/social life.

I was very intentinoally referring to sc2 because I have no idea who is still on that team from BW nor did it really matter that much.

The " off season " is December and early January in sc2, I think the Korean pro teams still practice during this time even though GSL takes a break during this time.
