Has anyone asked or answered how much time MMA has left in his contract? That's pretty pertinent information, no?

Dragon did lie to get out of SlayerS. I followed his stream and his twitter as I was a big fan and you are stretching the truth to say 'join Millenium after he thought a bit more careful about his future'. He never had an intention to quit Starcraft, that much was obvious by his twitter posts.
Yeah, that's why Jessica is infamous for making a drama out of thin air

Its just a law that they have probably because it helps to stop cyberbullying. They also seem to be a pretty sensitive people in general, and you can imagine how the internet in general rubs up against that.
That and South Korea is like the most litigious culture thinkable (theres other dumb shit too), despite what tasteless says.

In Korea I heard you can get put in jail for harassing someone over the internet. Its common to sue people over things they say over the internet.

With this much time elapsed it becomes worse and worse as imaginations start to run wild. Even if the truth is now revealed, the imagined truths will still be in everyones mind. An example of this would be, lets say you are charged with being a child molestor and the trial goes for months and months and many stories are fabricated about you, but in the end you are found not guilty. People would still view you as a child molestor, however if the same day that you were accused you were shown to be innocent without a doubt you would not be viewed in this light. I think I thought of this case because of the recent news. Except he didn't got accused for anything. Your example is something completely different. They said its internal stuff and people should honestly take enough with that instead of speculating over dumb stuff.
Slayers hasn't accused him of anything, but since they didn't esplicitly say why he was demoted, they leave too much up to the imagination. If he was demoted because of poor performance they should say so. If he was demoted as a form of discipline they should at least say what sort of action he is being disciplined for. By not saying anything they leave too much room for people to speculate, which leads to false impressions, false stories and the like. In the end it simply reflects poorly on Slayers as a professional organization.

USA is a more litigious culture (when describing South Korea). Which is ironic since the US imprinted an extraordinary amount of its legal system on South Korea (and Japan) back in the day to begin with.
Very iffy argument since South Koreans have way more opportunities to sue than Americans, you would have to compare the percentage of people that actually use those opportunities, which someone could write an entire thesis about. Def not thread discussion worthy.

You did more than that, which is the whole problem. You posted a huge paragraph about 'what happened' and didn't even hint until the end in your TLDR that it was all speculation. You also drew conclusions and made condemnations as if your speculation was true. Notice how there are pages and pages of speculation by people who aren't getting shit because they don't pretend that they have inside info?

"Its understandable that Slayers would be hurt by their star wanting to leave, but I really think they've gone too far and shown themselves to be too reactionary and too draconian. Its natural to be hurt when someone you've invested in wants to move on, but they are free human beings and they have that right. There is no need to make it ugly like they have. It will be a fair point if the speculation he did is correct. Nobody knows if he was demoted because he wanted to switch teams. For all we know he stream cheated like some koreans have been known to do and was demoted for that. Or maybe he has an attitude problem. To just say 'I think its because of this' and then call the team unprofessional because hypothetically they acted wrong is stupid.
