Also, csn_andrew might want to be a little careful how he uses "resign," because that words means to break or purposefully end a contract.
EDIT: Also, after reading Team Empire's official statement up above, does anyone else find the English of these statements a little bit ridiculous?
I mean, I understand that Empire comes from Eastern Europe, and that csn_andrew might not be American/English, but if this was an official statement, say, from Bayern Munich in football (soccer), they would have to get their English right. Any team that might not be native English but still plays in leagues with English names should really be releasing statements with good English into official annals of the press on the subject (instead of a reply buried in an unofficial TL thread). It's time eSPORTS started looking like a sport. I doubt that anyone was confused by the word "resign", context seemed pretty clear to me.
Oh I read it as resign as in quit. I did hesitate thinking it's very strange to quit a job that you don't really have anymore since the contract is out, but I didn't make the connection that he really meant re-sign.

EG seems the most likely do to the fact they have ZERO high level, Code S/A calibur, Zergs. Violet would fill that rather huge gap they really need to fill. They have a star Terran in Puma and even Thorzain pulls of legit tourney wins. Huk and JYP have them covered for high end Protoss play (lack of tourney results for JYP is deceiving. Huks high level record speaks for itself).
Who do they have for Zerg? Machine and Idra. So much potential there, but they just seemed to be skill capped or something. Just not Code S/A calibur.
But there is Complexity and Liquid and Quantic, who are all really good potential teams. All with a legit reason to wanted a new high level Zerg. Cuz Violet is awesome. What other reason does a team really need?
I think EG would allow Violet to stand out more when it matters most, because he would pretty much stand alone as the only high level Zerg on EG. No disrespect to Idra or Machine, I love those guys. But just saying.

Whatever team he chooses to join - I will always love him for his charisma and his awesome attitude towards the game and life in general. To have to balls to leave korea for the USA at a time when everybody was heading for korea was very impressive. Even more so when he kept being successful, being on the same level as the very best koreans.
I wish him only the best for the future!

That's exactly what people said before he signed with Empire. Just saying.

Considering that Twitter is not an SC2 themed website and is rather large and international, it really could just mean that he wanted to eliminate ambiguity that could arouse between him and some other Violet Empire, Violet Empiricism, "The Violet Emperor". I could see why he would want to specify his affiliation with Starcraft on that twitter account. But maybe you are right, although IMO it is not time to draw any definitive conclusions just yet.

They haven't picked up anyone in a long time.
Not a bad guess actually. Perhaps SK is luring around the corner waiting for good players to leave their teams!

Ah, free agency. Good luck to violet in finding the best team for you, be it Empire or somewhere else!

Hope he stays in the US. I'd rather not see EG or Liquid pick him up though.

Do they really need another zerg?

Violet has shown some good results lately, too, and every team wants Zerg players because the race is really strong right now. Don't go on with this balance whine when in Korea Terran is currently winning a majority of games vs Zerg. Violet will get on a good team because he is an amazing player, and there's no way that the chance to acquire him will be passed on, whether it be by Empire again or some other foreign team. Personally, I think Acer should really consider him - They've really been having some weakness in their zerg lineup and could use a little bit of reinforcement there.
ZvZ from Noobchio is bronze level, terribly lacking in our Z line-up

That was a pretty brief contract... it'd be cool if he resigns for Empire. I like the idea of foreign teams having a Korean ace. And it'd probably be better for him to be an ace rather than just sign for some Korean team and be another one of their Zergs. If he prefers the Europe/US scene, he could go to Millenium or EG, even Liquid.

To those of you that fail to understand english grammar:
To resign from something (such as a job) means to quit or take leave. To re-sign something means to renew, as in "viOLet re-signs with X" meaning viOLet has renewed his relations/contract with X, not that he's taking leave or quitting.
