1. ViOlet is based in America, right? Him moving to the EG house would be nice for him as he could remain in the US (which he really seems to like/wants to represent at tournaments).
2. He's also buddies with Thorzain and before Violet joined Empire there were rumors that Thorzain was trying to recruit him to mouz.
3. This is probably reading way too far into a few tweets, but Incontrol's latest tweets about the business and changing his role make me think he may be being switched over to a caster-type role by EG, freeing up money that would be spent sending him to tournaments to play. As a result, the new money could be used to sign a top level player such as Violet.
Obviously, this is complete speculation.
Violet ist not based in america at the moment. He moved back to korea because he didn't get a visa extention.
On his twitter he said he was going back to america. Whether it's for a few days or longer i don't know but he's definitely still going there for some time.

I highly doubt EG is picking up Violet, it's just not the right time yet. I'd say he's still shopping.

EG would be awesome for Violet, EG and the guys on the Arizona house. Makes perfect sense imo.

Also EG's biggest weakness is it's zerg lineup right now. They have Idra but he's not massively consistent and their zerg lineup is nowhere near as deep as their toss or terran lineups.

everytime a player leaves a team, it seems that, according to tl and reddit, EG is the only SC2 team that exists.

Sorta wish violet stayed on Empire, he just seemed like that, but hopefully he finds a new team, and I'm looking forward to see who empire's new player too

Quantic or Complexity if he is going to join an NA team. I doubt EG would sign Violet just to make a run at Stephano when HIS contract is up (unless the whole CoL/Mill thing happens again).
I also don't think he'll return to Empire. I'm sure they offered him what they could for an extension and leaving sort of looks like he wants more. Can't blame him because of his results.

Who says EG won't want them both?
Violet's had better results than Stephano this year anyway although obviously Stephano has a much bigger fanbase.

Just an update -- I'm a friend of his:
He's flying back to the US right now (he's at Incheon airport which is a huge airport in South Korea). He's stated before he wants a domestic team with a house, but will not risk severing ties with the CSN team that has become his family over the last year or so in order to fulfill this -- he believes that friendship and relationships between peers presides over getting a top domestic team to pick him up.
There will be an interview up shortly after his return, in which Andrew will help him with that will answer all of your questions. Hang tight.

Teams in America with a house, EG, Complexity and Quantic. Now would EG and Complexity's sponsorship with SteelSereies and QPAD/Soundblaster respectively cause him to sever ties with CSN due to their Razer affiliation? Because if so, that leaves one team, Quantic, who has a house and is sponsored by Razer.
Just some thoughts.

That'd make sense. If he joins Quantic he'll be a great training partner for his teammates in the US. Kinda too bad he won't be at the Startale house though. Some fresh Zerg blood could be good for them, and StartaleQ would be even more dangerous. Him being in an NA team house though will hopefully help the NA scene develop some.

It makes sense, but i believe he lives in Texas right? If he likes where he has been in the state he might want to join Complexity because their house is in Houston, which isn't far from where he currently lives in Texas. That way he still is close to his "American Family" or whatever he calls them in his recent video.
