Empire.StrangeR - head sc2 coordinator of Team Empire: Contract of viOLet expired yesterday and he is free agent now. I was very surprise, when read Andrew's statement, but he had right to do it even without approvement with Team Empire. I supposed, if viOLet decided to leave, we must do official announcement, instead this rumors. We are thinking about offering to viOLet new contract, but there are other possibilities to add new players in Team Empire. As Andrew told, there is a chance to resign contract with viOlet too, it will depend of both side wishes. I want to emphasize, that there is no problems between Team Empire and viOlet. We are grateful to him for his great work and victories for Team Empire. We wish to him good luck and new victories!

Edit: I mean resign by signing again, not quitting. :/

Also, csn_andrew might want to be a little careful how he uses "resign," because that words means to break or purposefully end a contract. EDIT: Also, after reading Team Empire's official statement up above, does anyone else find the English of these statements a little bit ridiculous? I mean, I understand that Empire comes from Eastern Europe, and that csn_andrew might not be American/English, but if this was an official statement, say, from Bayern Munich in football (soccer), they would have to get their English right. Any team that might not be native English but still plays in leagues with English names should really be releasing statements with good English into official annals of the press on the subject (instead of a reply buried in an unofficial TL thread). It's time eSPORTS started looking like a sport.

I understand wanting to make a joint announcement to avoid rumors but shouldn't that have been addressed long before the contact actually expires? It seems like Empire shouldn't have been too surprised if the contract is up, even if there are ongoing negotiations.
