All bnetserverdata can now downloaded on the fly so its not necessary to update the client as often.
Also i added everything i can think of.
We found out near (but only near) everything about MMR in the last month.

Out of curiosity, is the csv data link in the OP continually updated? Or is it a snapshot that doesn't get updated until you republish it?

I'm assuming Identifier is a way of tying multiple games as originating from the same player, right? Is data from 1.8 not valid for GM? I'm looking at some of the players, and for example for the Identifier 1232347, one game it's 787, then the other it's literally less than half that, 361.5... I don't think MMR changes that much, so I'm wondering what's going on there.

its a snapshot. The problem is there are old version in the file that calculate something wrong. We recalculate this after upload. Also i hide personal information in the public versions.

I dont calculate mmr before upload any more. All calculation and filter you see are client sited. The analyser starts after the upload.

We need 100% correct data to find offsets. For the client i need data that tells you something. So i analyse the data and guess your and the offsets of the opponent. Thats why the datafile have no league offsets = DMMR.
Depending on the league and tier of enemy the DMMR can jump like crazy.
Its the data you see when you go "advanced options" ,"disable analyser." and disable all filter.

The examples of a gm you mention comes from the gm - master offset, its around 430.

If we had commited skilled players helping us here, it's get even easier.

Think about the season lock. Now think about a master player that has spent all their bonus pool. It's more than 700 bonus points. Then he starts losing till he reaches gold-plat or whatever range. He will have -700 AP at gold/plat level and it will be so easier to understand the offsets, as he won't be capped as a master leaguer, it could be a GM as well =3

Wish I had the skill to reach master and do this ;_;

I can get master league pretty easily (though I can't just waltz into GM ). I can probably do this for you if you want... You want me to spend all my bonus pool on an account and then lose a bunch until I get to a certain league?

in the last week where you cant get demoted. Master player enemys are free from some caps that destoy all data.
So its good to have low league guys play against master because than we get clean data.+

Spending the bonus pool is not necessary tho. We can calculate that out.
On the other hand it would be good, so you dont run in danger to drop to 0 points what would be another problem.

The MMR (actually DMMR is the correct term for it and what should be written in file) values you see in the data file are calculated in relation to the offset of the opponent. The reason one game the GM guy has 787 and the next game he has 361, is because the first game was against Master opponent and the second one was against a GM. Since GM league offset is about 430 above that of Master, the calculated DMMR is lower by about 430 when playing vs GM than when playing vs Master.


If someone wants to help figure offsets during league lock, here's what I recommend:

Start in a league below Master. After league lock comes, raise your MMR to Master league level and play at least 15-20 games against Master opponents (preferably back to back Master opponents). This will give us a pretty good idea of the offset of whatever league/tier you were locked in.

WHen updating to the newest version, the plugin keeps saying new eversion available. I don't know if I'm not updating correctly or if it's a bug. I've updated before and had no problems.

I'm downloading it, using winrar to extract to the plugin folder and when asked to replace old files I'm selecting yes to all.

Real quick question, is the higher number tier better than a lower number tier or vice versa? For example, Diamond teir 6 vs teir 2.

Hey all.

First I want to give a shoutout to Skeldark and point out how hard he is working on this. Many times I've contacted him about a bug and he ends up PM'ing back and forth for hours with bug fixes and new things to try, so massive prop's to him and everyone else working to make this application so good, and researching MMR.

From there I'd like to make a feature request if possible. Can we change it so the ram scanner checks against all profiles listed to be monitored, not just the 'active' profile that's currently selected? I switch between servers quite a bit, however if I forget to change my active profile in the MMR plugin the RAM scanner will not record the game because the ID read will not match the ID selected in the active field.

I imagine it's just storing the data in some form of database, so it shouldn't technically be a problem to simply read in and store no matter what active profile is selected, as long as it's somewhere on the list. Obviously the results wouldn't be available for viewing until you manually selected the correct profile from the drop down menu.

Anyway, something to consider, I know you're very busy

You are sure he say new program version and not new Bnetserverfile version?
Check the log at program start.
Last one you DL direct by clicking on it in and the update message creates a new button on the right.
First one only change the name of the "Website link" button.

Can happen! you dont get promoted between tiers. So it show the skill at the promotion day not the skill today.
Also i could guess is offset wrong and hes not really t0.
The guess of the offset of the player is much much better than the one of the opponent. ( i have many games for the player but only a single one for the opponent ^^)
To avoid this, i will analyse the hole uploaded data soon and calculate the tiers for all divisions in there
I put this information in the bnetdatafile. So over time we know them all correct.

Yes i could check them all against the players out of the scanner and auto-select the right one if one fits.

Did not do it because the scanner is optional and i did not want to have such core functions controlled by something optional. The active player is needed at more places, so to avoid bugs i have to let him change the active one in the hole program. At the moment the gui fire the change for the core trigger and the core trigger re-init and give it to the lower triggers (e.g. the ramscanner) If the ramscanner change it, he would work against the chain of command.
Its not so much a problem of coding its more a problem of clean code structure (modelling)
The active one also hepls finding some mistakes in the data too.

I will think about how to change the hole handle of active accounts so a switch between them is easier in the code.
Btw it would be no problem to add more than 5 accounts. Intern i work with an endless list. The problem is, i have to change the settings file = all stored profiles-links are gone with the update. I already have 2 settings files to avoid this situation. I would like to clean this up but i dont think you guys like to loose all program settings.

The idea is your client only have to analyse the divisions that are unkown.

Quick question, why doesn't the MMR up down correlate to Wins / Losses. For example - http://imgur.com/qANQC

In the last 5 games there is one gap (a win) but it seems weird that it should oscillate up and down given consistent wins (over that period).

Short question but THE question. If you see that win loose and mmr rise fall fits 100% we are 100% accurate.
However we are not.
1) deveration of the f function / nothing we can do against it
2) if play against not master the mmr cap rule of blizzard / enable low dmmr filter ( will filter most data tho)
3) i guess offsets wrong ( Korean dia is the league i will guess most wrong of all leagues and server Oo)

i just calculated its impossible to get enough data to get the tiers of all divisions.
There are just way to many divisions and with the session reset its a waste of time to calculate them this way...
i go back to the old method and try to improve the analyser

A little bit more than that would be nice...
Is it not in the plugin list ?
is it in the list but you cant active
is it in the list you can activate but it crash
is it in the list does it activate dont crash but dont load.
...

Check that in the pluginfolder there is 1 folder mmrplugin and all the files directly in this folder.
Some unpack programs generate a second folder .
