In 9.1 you had a graph, but all good games in it were capped based on the new rules. Your MMR likely had already dropped to gold when you started to use MMR tool with HotS support. | ||

It has never been the same function as Blizzard uses as Blizzard's one is unknown. Also promotions seem almost immediate (not waiting stabilization). As you probably can deduct there are two misscalculations there (may be due to data errors regarding that match or something else. Will check those two in some later date). That loss in that gave mid diam MMR & one that gave master MMR. You can check which ones by Config > Data > Mark assumptions / bad games and then setting both of those bad. Config > Data > refresh > select matches from drop down > mark as bad game | ||

As I understand, that would be optimal to help calculate MMR. I have 2 out of 75 games that are good, whereas before I would typically get about 30% of my games good. Something has changed and isn't working correctly. | ||

Checked end of season data for S12. Based on it top GM for EU & US was around 2100 to 2200. For EU the GM line likely was at ~1610 and for US ~1640 if it would only be based on MMR (That number is based on roughly top 150 known MMRs for each server). The current line (1550) shown in the tool is still accurate subjective mixing point of last season's GM and master players. Based on the first week of S13 many EU players who had less than 1610 MMR in end of S12 have considerably increased their MMR. I would guess you will need at least 1650 or more to reach GM when GM opens in few days. Please note that these numbers are not exact as we do not have data for all players. And there are lots of players who are quite near those numbers. The actual border may be higher. One thing is sure: - Lots of last season's GMs will not make it. Also remember that these estimates are based on historical snapshots for each player (some are more fresh, some are older). True GM border is dynamic and will change. Edit: Also worth to remember is that the not all 'GM range' players have been active in the current season. The barrier might also be lower when GM opens. Edit2: If some of the users here make it to GM when it opens and were near the above numbers, It would be interesting to hear what the promotion MMR was. | ||

These reports are not helpful if they cannot be examined. Also there are multiple reasons why the shown MMR could have been so low. For example if you have played only few games after starting from blank MMR the MMR changes lot more rapidly than the estimates based on typical match.
