So i can have huge problems with red + blue on a minimap *with a background*. I also use it with background turned off as then i have a hope of seeing red on black but i find blue on black to be far far more starkly contrasted than red on black. I thought it as just my eyes being shite ![]() Makes me wonder why people don't use blue green (cue all the blue-green sufferers). Am beginning to think that the difference may really be post processing ... but the logical side of me really doubts it. It sounds like too much hard work to mask the playable area of the screen. But then spent another hour on google nad haven't found anything. This is going to turn into one of those sagas like i had in css trying to figure out how to see through smoke with nvidia ... which also makes me wonder if its a feature on ati cards or something. But it would be odd for ATI to implement something better than they had to tbh given their history of unfairly broken drivers. Anyway just to clarify ... it is NOT the colors of units or teams. It is the quality with which they are rendered. Some casts just seem to look a shit ton better than my actual game which is highly disconcerting despite me running everything as high as i can (and still having >100 fps so i have plenty of grunt to work with still).

In streams and casts you're doing nothing, only looking at "nice game graphic", that is same, as ingame You clearly didn't read OP. you clearly didn't look at the 2 links At least you didn't say its because my macro is off ;p On May 01 2012 00:13 Eufouria wrote: They turn the saturation up. I don't know if they do it through the GPU control panel or some kind of editing of the actual video recording itself though. Yeah you are right, that does get it part way there but in that first link i am pretty sure there is also another graphics effect in play (makes a huge difference once you turn rgb -> that other graphics setting i mentioned btw - i think it makes the gamut a lot larger). I think they probably have the graphics setting globally on the machine they are going to use for capture set crazy high - which is then amplified in everyone else having it above 1 (assuming is a multiplier). Because the vods are basically recorded live they cant do it as a true post process on the raw data as it would be a ball ache to manage and the live viewers would get something different to archive. I am trying to find a better vod that demonstrates what i mean ... i know one tournament had it consistently as i noticed and thought it looked v cool. It wasn't mlg as i suggested earlier though nor is it gsl as i have got both of their qualities from saturation and digital vibrance and changing palette. I am beginning to wonder if its a atv vs nvidia driver thing tbh.

Already done that! all 3 settings (off, fast and quality)! TBH that was first thing i tried as I was hoping for a quick fix :D

I think, it's fully same, as ingame. But here you can see a bit different creep. You can customize creep with my another thread http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=241083

Edit: Maybe you mean medium shaders (that turns off any bloom ingame and makes graphic a bit more clear and less effect-intensive)? But in those streams we still have bloom and special light (like green light from eggs on hatchery when larva injection in progress)

I've said about difference from current game. Not between those 3 videos. Those videos are fully standart for me, only nice overlay and probably a bit increased ingame brightness. Also there can be modified creep edges. I find bases on creep (red/blue on creep) to be very hard to spot, same for blue in the FOW... You can customize creep, make it darker, like in HotS http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=332010
