But you can use those modified graphic filters for StarCraft 2 too. Here are screenshots of darker SC2 with hardcore brightness/desaturation and without sharpeness.
1) Modify mod options as you want, turn on/off sharpeness and change level of darkeness/desaturation. 2) Click green DOWNLOAD button 3) Extract all files into StarCraft II/Support folder 4) From extracted files copy file, called d3d9.dll and put his copy to latest patch folder. I mean, Versions/Base####, where # - latest game build. Currently (04.22.2012) it's 21029. 5) In game you can switch, like in Diablo 3, darker and standart graphic modes, with Pause Break button
Any graphics card driver allows to adjust all those settings anyways.. gamma, color, saturation.. but i guess it's nice to have a "push a button" solution
That looks pretty cool tbh, but I think it'd hurt the competitive aspect of SC2, as it can already be difficult to tell your units apart from your opponents in mirror matchups without the stronger colors mod.

Yes, but thos options are for everything, that you can see, including desktop, internet browser, other games or programms, etc. This one is only for sc2 and diablo 3, and probably for Skyrim (better to contact with mod author, he's working on that)
I can't say I would mind if SC2 looked darker the whole time, but I'd not personally bother with this; I like SC2 as it is.
You can switch two modes in game. Also with that mod, you can increase ingame brightness and stay with same brightness, as you had before, but with desaturated colors.

This is same customization, like game hotkeys or game brightness. Combining with ingame brightness changing, you can get nice results.
Dark looks cool, but I already have weird settings to make things easier to see. Could be good for observers and casts, but not something I would consider while playing.
Those shots are borderline black and white. Really? The game is barely all that bright and colorful hence there is a stronger team color mod that brightens it up.
Dont think it looks good for diablo 3 even, it just ruins the colours...both diablo and starcraft 2 are very dark games, that filter doesn't do anything beside ruining the natural looking colours. It's kinda like the people that use the retarded instagram filters because they think it makes their photos look more professional, when in reality it just messes up the colours of their photos..
