People are a lot more touchy in Korea, Its just a cultural difference.

I'm watching the VoDs right now, what a boss answer Naniwa gave after Genius picked him! :D

Don't think anyone here had a problem with it either, just seemed natural somehow.

Genius and DRG didn't face each other in this group because Genius lost his first match and DRG went 2-0. They then faced again in the final of the tournament where DRG won 4-2.

So, the only logical conclusion is that Genius will advance as #1, Supernova as #2 (but they will not meet in the group), and then they will face off again in the final where Genius wins 4-2. ONLY LOGICAL CONCLUSION. Mother of predictions... In your heart, you know it makes sense. Hey, it's Fionn's long lost brother!

PartinG has sick storms. I'm just a bit tired of all the MKP-hate and PartinG-hype lately. I said most likely, not 100%, and PartinG deserves all the hype he's been given.
I disagree with this. People are hyping PartinG up to be the best Protoss in the world because of one matchup. One. His PvZ is mediocre, his PvP is just as mediocre. His PvT happens to be godlike, but people extrapolate that way too much.
Unfortunately for Parting anti-fans, he has a group full of Terrans and has very little chance of losing. Imagine if he was in a group with Oz, Squirtle and MKP - suddenly, his chances of advancing are very small. Same goes for if more Zergs had advanced.
For the record, as an MC fan, I watch Parting's play and think that his PvT is better than MC's . But MC's PvZ is significantly better than Parting's, and it annoys me that there are very few Zergs doing well enough to face either of the two, because it means that PvZ is quite rare to see nowadays. Also, while PvP is a shitty matchup in general, MC is widely considered to have a better PvP than Parting.
Then there's Genius, who is also a god at PvT, having a better record against MKP than Parting, and is faaaaar better at PvZ and PvP.
I must be in the minority, but I still think Parting is overrated.

God, I hope from the bottom of my heart MVP robs MKP gold one more time, only to show were his place is against good terrans. I wish aLive didn't play crap this season.

Genius only needs to motivate himself and he beats everyone. And maybe not go for carriers in the finals.

Lol did anyone read MC's tweet?
@sk_mc: "hey fans don't worry about my group in GSL i'm boss toss i will kill maru Squirtle OZ easy mans (... i want more easy zergs..)"

Oh jeez Maru has all p in his group. That's tough, no tvt for Maru
|
A: Genius, then Supernova (although I'm hoping for Naniwa) B: MVP, Hero (bye Zergs x.x) C: MKP, Parting (group of death) D: MC, Squirtle (although any two Protosses will do)

And since noone seems to take the kid for real, they might focus on their PvP even more. Maru has a great chance to get out of this group. Especially because Oz and MC are all but PvT specialists.

Culture difference. Someone wrote a blog about it a while ago if you care to search for it.

Yup, my gut tells me Maru will roll over MC, so my predictions for this group all depend on the Squirtle/Oz match really.
Option 1.
MC < Maru
Oz > Squirtle
Maru > Oz
MC < Squirtle
Oz > Squirtle
Option 2.
MC < Maru
Oz < Squirtle
Maru < Squirtle
Oz > MC
Maru > Oz
I'm really, really hoping my second prediction will come true if Group C goes as expected, in other words PartinG in first, MKP in second, as that would bring a MKP/Squirtle rematch in the Ro8, as well as another Terran for PartinG to crush, further helping the cause of bringing us the epic PartinG/MKP grand finals we all want. (Unless Squirtle is able to 2 base colossi down MKP again, that would also be fun )

Here's to hoping that IM_Mvp wins it all! Picking July was smart, I think he can definitley make it out of his group.

I personally think Group A is the group of death in this situation. Virus and SuperNoVa are both in great form, Genius since he's actually been practicing is a player to be feared, and while NaNiwa isn't as strong of a player, for some reason I can see him taking wins anyway, a phenomena that I really can't explain.

Honestly all the groups are groups of death; this Ro16 is stacked.

I just went back and re-watched the Supernova vs Genius Ro32 match, and that was actually the match where a guy in the audience had a "Naniwa is coming" sign. Indeed he was. Now Naniwa only has to beat Genius and Supernova in the Ro16 and that audience guy can be declared god.

66% of the whole tl predicted this before but this season i think MKP will be champion ...
